Yay, it's a meme!
For this meme, choose one character of yours and one character of mine-- and then I will write out how they hook up, settle into a long term relationship and/or marriage, and describe their firstborn child/children, if any. Crack pairings and old characters are acceptable.

Jen/Steve: Part 1

It took a lot for Jen to get her ass kicked.

And boy, she got it kicked big time. She was currently lying in a bed in SHIELD medi-center, every muscle in her body screaming in pain.

Jen woke up, knowing that she looked like hell. The first thing she saw was Steve, sitting next to her bed a look of concern on his face.

It hurt like hell, but Jen smiled at him.

"Hey."

Right now, she couldn't think of anyone else she'd rather see.

They'd been dating for about six months. Jen couldn't remember the last time that she'd been an actual relationship. At least, one that wasn't built completely around sex.

Not that the sex wasn't fantastic, of course.

But it wasn't all about that. Right now, she was wrapped in Steve's arms on the sofa at his apartment, enjoying popcorn, beer, and a movie.

There are some things that seem impossible, but when they come to pass, you wouldn't take them back for the world.

James Bruce Walters-Rogers was one of those things. At four years old, he already had his mother's mind, and his father's heart. The little blond-haired, blue eyed, green skinned (yes, green), was the center of his parents' universe.

And the way he took command of the playground, it was very clear that someday he'd be a great leader in his own right.
