I swear, if acting weren’t my life and all, I’d just stick with being a model. At least all you have to do is like, send in your picture and if you’re pretty enough, they call you back. Piece of cake, right? So you just feel like… a zoo animal instead of cattle. It’s better than waiting around with a bunch of bitches. And let me tell you, some of them are not pretty.

God, one of these days, I’m going to be famous or something, then I’ll never have to audition again. My awesomeness will precede me.

Just you wait, guys. Just you wait for my awesomeness.

Third person writing sample:

The lights of Tokyo were beautiful at night. Most people might think that the city, as big and bustling as it was, was too crowded and sardine-can cramped for their tastes, but Yamanaka Ino wasn’t most people.

Water splashed under her feet, feet she was bouncing on in spite of the high heels on her boots. She twirled her leopard print umbrella in her hands, the carelessness hard won after a long day of rain. It wasn’t often that Ino found herself alone on a Saturday night, especially when she was looking as hot as she was right now, but Jun had taken the break up rather hard, refusing to drive her home.

While she’d been peeved, she was also a girl of many means, not to mention in possession of an umbrella. For once, she didn’t take a taxi. It was a moderate walk, but she probably needed the exercise after all the farewell sushi she’d extorted from Jun. Her feet were starting to ache a little, but it was almost cursory for her to ignore it. Beauty was pain.

Underneath her feet, the lights reflected off the dark puddles, bursts of sunset yellow and thrift store orange and stop sign red in stereo.

The city was alive. It was thrumming with it. Life. All around her, people were making friends, falling in love, spending time with the people that matter to them. They were washing dishes, curling up on the couch with their cats, getting ready to go out for the night. Under the Tokyo lights, people were living.

Most people might feel small and insignificant in the face of so much vibrancy. Instead, Ino felt bolstered by it, like she was a part of something incredible, like she could do anything if only she stayed in this city with its neon signs and concrete everything and wide open hands.

Ignoring the people streaming around her, she paused in the middle of the sidewalk for a moment, tilting her umbrella back to look up.

Beyond the lights was the faintest suggestion of stars, too much pollution and smog in the air to make anything but the brightest one visible. Only the moon shined with all its grandeur, and Ino immediately spotted the lunar rabbit, carved in millions of years of rock or, as she remembered the Americans thought, cheese.

Someday, she’d be a star too. Beautiful even against concrete, even more beautiful in the dark.

Other Notes:
• Eats up fashion magazines like hotcakes. Unfortunately, she doesn’t eat much else. Nutritionists would string her up for all the fad and crash diets she’s tried.
• Changes her hairstyle on a fairly regular basis, though she refuses to actually cut it. That’s family tradition, bitch.
• Owns more pairs of shoes than Imelda Marcos.
• LOVES THE COLOR PURPLE. Don’t even try to talk her out of it.
• Can spend money like a motherfucker. Doesn’t even matter whose it is, since she can mooch like a motherfucker too.
• Will eventually star in a porno. It’s just. Inevitable.

Welcome! Be sure to do the following with your character journal:

o1. Join both the IC (

last_stretch) and the OOC (

reach_for_ooc) communities as well as

sticky_noto and add

ls_mod as a friend here. Only then will you be able to comment to the friend add/remove entry. Here, you will also add all the players to your IC journal.

o2. Once you are friended, you'll be able to view certain friends-locked entries. Next, you will go here and fill out the player contact information. When we dot all the "i's" and cross the "t's," we will promptly add you to the official taken characters list.

o3. Please also take the time to add a phone post to your character journal. The phone posts are used for characters to communicate outside of the company journals. Once done, please comment to this post with your information.

o4. And finally, please disable the custom comment pages on your character journal. Information on how to do and and why we do it can be found here. Also there is how to work out layouts on Scribbld, if you're new to this. ♥

And you're done! You are also free to write an introductory post in the OOC community, and write up a character info post in your journal!
