Character
Name: Tobirama Senju
Age: 26
Sexuality: Believes in LOVE.
Role in company: Doesn't exactly work for FGI, rather works for the company testing a "sex robot" inside the company. Is the programmer for it. Also cleans it of, uh... testing juice.
PB: Tamaki Hiroshi ... okay real pic.

Background History: Maybe there was some significance to the way Tobirama was brought into this world. Not a normal birth by most standards, but a trend that probably shaped who her son would be in the years to follow. A water birth, really, a more "natural" way to give birth and in a way that was supposed to ease pain for the mother. Strangely enough when they took him out of the water, he screamed and cried, but when placed back in his mother's arms in the tub, he quieted down. Most would say it was a mother's embrace, but that was only the half of it.

Growing up in a way that embraced the things he loved was probably easier for Tobirama than it was for his brother. Hashirama carried the burden of being the eldest son, and thus the man of the house for the future. Despite a drastic cultural shift taking place in modern Japan, the Senju family still managed to hold onto certain old ways of life. Learning his role as the younger son was a little difficult for Tobirama at first, and sometimes he had a hard time understanding why Hashirama said and did the things he did, but he looked forward to his brother being the man in charge, since he easily though that if Hashirama was in charge, then they wouldn't have to go to school, or eat things Grandma cooked that tasted terrible, and they could use all their money to buy snacks.

Tobirama didn't really dislike his father, but rather, he preferred the company of his mother and brother, finding them to both just be more soothing company. He had respect for his father, which was different than the love he had for his mother. Following the steps she'd taken with Hashirama, his mother gave Tobirama a bonsai of his very own to care for, since she'd been a hobbyist of the small trees for years and Hashirama had taken an intense liking toward them. But soon she quickly realized her younger son didn't quite have the green thumb the eldest did. This was made clear when the poor tree was practically drowned from too many waterings a day, to which Tobirama replied to with "I tried to stop, but the water looked so pretty pouring out."

It was an obsession of his, and one his mother never thought to shy him away from. Since there were many Japanese gardens they could visit, ranging from the modest ones in their neighborhood to the full-out simple decadence of a temple garden, Tobirama found that he spent less time worrying about his role in the family, and more time focused on nature, on the world around him. For a while, things were good like that. He would hang around his older brother, fetch him pails of water to tend to the plants in the backyard, and fall asleep to the sounds of his brother's voice, ranting on and on about how he could hear the trees. Tobirama never heard water speak, but he envied his brother's talent and never once doubted it's authenticity.

For the first few years of his life, Tobirama was well-adjusted, happy, and while a bit of a loner, still easily made friends on the playground. It seemed like he was set to go far in life, he was bright and had a penchant for technology, always wondering how things worked, though this wouldn't become his focus until later on. His way of seeing life was changed entirely when the divorce of his parents was announced, and for the first time Tobirama wondered about love. What it meant to love, and be loved. Why two people who were supposed to be in love only hurt each other. Being just a young child, he instantly placed blame on their father, hating him and blaming him for making his mother sad. Even though Hashirama had told him not to hate their father for it, Tobirama still did. He hated the man even more when he fled to America, though it was on the flight to see his father in his new home that his first real method of coping began.

He had been raised under the philosophy that men were tough, didn't cry at sissy bullshit and certainly didn't let emotions get the better of them. So locked away in the small cramped space of an airplane bathroom, Tobirama wept. He cried for his mother, who was so heartbroken over the split. He cried for his brother who now had to take on duties he wasn't responsible for. And most of all he cried because his family, the most stable thing he knew, had fallen apart. When he was done crying he hurriedly turned the water on to wash his face, to rub at it until it was red to excuse the puffiness of his eyes, but that's when he heard it. It was just tap water, and the voice was soft, in a tone that wasn't distinctively male or female, but he heard it. And it said that everything was going to be alright. Now any normal child would have kept this to himself, hidden it and never said a word, but Tobirama couldn't tell Hashirama fast enough, even though his face was red and it was clear he'd been crying, the smile on his face as he ran through the aisles of the plane to return to his seat was unmistakable.

From that point on, Tobirama's life was drastically different. He and his brother both moved from country to country, spending time with both parents as per split custody dictated. It became harder for Tobirama to make friends, and though it was a critical developmental stage in his life, he found happiness by running through the woods with his brother, filling buckets of water from the school's water fountain and taking it to open streams to "liberate it," and laying out in their backyard and talking to the trees with his brother. Though it was clear he was something of a lonely kid, he didn't feel that way. He felt safe with his older brother, since that was the only person he could ever talk to about the voices of the different types of water. He didn't need friends. Something of a loner, he did excel in school and always did above average work. He enjoyed math, and science, and wasn't necessarily very good at being creative. He liked logic, thinks that made perfect sense and existed in harmony. It reminded him of nature, how everything was made to work with each other, every creature in the forest depended on one another. His school years were relatively uneventful. He didn't have any friends, any social groups, not even a love interest.

His dream was marine biology, but the science fair his senior year changed that. It was a simple enough project, to make a simple robot out of house hold materials. He'd always had something of an interest in technology and how things worked, and this was his first chance to really break something down and see how it all worked. Though marine biology had been his goal, Tobirama quickly found a true passion. While his brother persued his own dreams, Tobirama went for his, finishing up high school and picking out the school he wanted. It was an American one, to his mother's many sighs, but it was up north, away from where their father was. Also at this time, Hashirama had fallen hard for his first girlfriend, and once Tobirama heard of it, they were already engaged. He was happy for his older brother mostly, and though he had something of a jaded opinion on marriage from watching what had happened between his mother and father, Tobirama really believed it would work out for his brother.

Then came the bad news, that Hashirama had been caught cheating on her. Tobirama didn't even really care at first that he had cheated with another male of all things, but just that he had cheated at all. It changed his opinions on love, on what falling in love was really like. He had seen his mother and father look so in love, and Hashirama and this woman were so happy together, but yet both men ended up straying. A long time ago, Tobirama's grandfather had told him that all Senju men and women were cursed in matters of the heart, but he had never really thought twice about it until now. Maybe they all were cursed, doomed to live an eternity of falling in love and breaking hearts. So Tobirama decided then that he would never fall in love. He would go out, get tonnes of women, show them a great time, then never call them back. If it was a curse, then might as well surrender to it because fighting it will get you nowhere.

So he did. All through college he attended university parties, losing his virginity to the head of the sorority house, and then to each of her friends. He had always been good at talking to strangers, always been someone who could strike up a conversation at the worst times. He found out that this skill could easily slide right into what they called charm, and though it went against how he believed women should be treated, he found out how to play them. This trend continued throughout his university years, even past graduation. Thankfully he had made the right contacts and was able to find work right away, working for the development team of a lead hardware manufacturing firm. He worked with other bright eyed fresh out of college students to improve processors, microchips, a whole bunch of boring tiny shit that makes the world work easier. And as he gathered quite a paycheck, he spent his spare time in clubs, casinos, gambling money and making lady friends. Who wouldn't have loved it? A job you loved, plenty of women, a nice paycheck...

And it would have been perfect, had it not made him entirely miserable. It was about the time his brother confessed that he'd fallen for someone again that Tobirama realized there was something very wrong going on in his own life. He'd spent so much time ignoring all possibilities to find love and playthings that he forgot about happiness. His brother had lost it all, his fiance, most of his paycheck... but now he sounded so happy, so content with where his life was going. That's when the one night stands stopped, the trips to the clubs ceased almost entirely. Was this what it was like to give into that curse? Wasn't the old saying that it was better to've loved and lost than to never loved at all? How many of those women from the past had fallen for him, really fallen? You could fall in love once and break one heart, but when you juggled so many, how many slipped and broke? It was sobering, the entire thing. Tobirama realized that he needed a change of pace, a change of scenery, a change of everything. He had set out to visit his brother finally, to talk to him about everything and get it off his chest, but he couldn't do it. Something made him hesitate, and he never got on the connecting flight to Reno.

Defeated he returned home, ready to drown himself in a bathtub full of bourbon, but that's when the news came that his father was ill, and dying rapidly. The event finally gave him the courage he needed, both in forgiving someone he once hated so much, and in finally seeing his brother after so many years, and the man that had ruined his life, and apparently then gave it back to him. Maybe after too many after-funeral drinks, he approached Madara with an idea. His company had been working on model human robots for years and years, always working to make them more lifelike, more advanced. Tobirama was no stranger to the world of porn (sometimes a guy and his right hand get lonely) and he'd seen some of the weird fetish videos that've been made. Fat lonely nerds loved sexy robot girls. It was an untapped goldmine, just one that needed a steady pile of funds to jump start. It took time to convince his superiors to consider ever investing in something like this, though luckily Madara seemed to love it, and was quick to throw money into it. Finally, after a few weeks of throwing poll results and dollar signs at his bosses, Tobirama was granted permission to test this. Though it was to be done secretly, and the company's name was not to be dropped at all. Madara agreed to this too, and given the millionaire's shady reputation for doing unorthodox and scandalous things, it wouldn't seem too out of place for him to randomly acquire an expensive and advanced human robot. Tobirama and two other assistants were sent out to ensure proper maintenance on the girl robot, who has since been affectionately named Gemini after her horoscope (yes robots get birthdays too) sign. Along with this, extensive research on the results of purchase, and mountains of boring paperwork. As well as being the one who ensures the human actor knows how to treat this million dollar piece of machinery, Tobirama also gets to be the one who cleans her. Joyous.

Personality, Likes & Dislikes: Tobirama is a very easy guy to get along with. Despite being a loner throughout most school years, he can make acquaintances easily and doesn't struggle in social situations. Generally, he's friendly and has a quick wit. He likes to pal around with guys and often appears like he's close friends with a lot of people. Though truthfully, his contact lists are very small, and there are few people who he would actually open up to. Because of his father's strict ideals on what men did and what women did, Tobirama often doesn't express what he's feeling emotionally, and is prone to just bottling things up because it's easier to deal with. Even when overcome with emotion, he won't cry, because men aren't meant to cry. It would take a lot to get him to break down and admit everything, or just a tonne of alcohol.

He doesn't fit into any one social class, but has the ability to fit into any of them. He's one of those rare people who can get along with anybody, and hasn't made any enemies throughout his years. He's either just ignored, or thought of pleasantly. He enjoys helping people out when they're down, and finds himself drawn to people who tend to often be down about things. People who are happy all the time tend to make him feel bored or uninterested, but he likes to hear about people's problems. He's a problem solver by nature, so when presented with any issue, petty or not, he likes to work to find a solution. If someone is already content and settled with their life, well, that's great and all, but it's also boring and he won't want to talk to you much.

He likes brain teasers and difficult issues, and will brag to you about his sudoku skills. Number games, riddles, puzzles, he loves all of it. He especially is into technology, and likes to test all the latest gizmos. Like most of those in his family, he enjoys gambling and making bets, even if he knows he'll lose. He likes card counting and black jack, but roulette is his ultimate favorite. He doesn't enjoy a lot of frivolous things, but will splurge on something if coaxed to do so. If he could, he would live in a cave behind a waterfall, and probably never come out except to gather berries and hunt an animal for dinner.

Another thing he has but is often torn on, is respect for women. While growing up his female cousins so often loved to beat him up and put him in a headlock and give him wedgies, so he knows women are a force to fear. The vagina is almighty, and you should treasure it. But on the other hand, some women are floozies, and well you don't really need to respect them as much as you would a dignified woman. As sexist as it sounds, he holds women on a scale, and their actions give them a rating from 1-10 on that scale. That rating determines how he treats them. He prefers the quiet, dignified woman though, as anything else just reminds him of his rowdy cousins and well that's not much of a turn on. This is almost the exact opposite of his brother, who prefers the rough, loud women. Tobirama would just like a girl who he can come home to and she's made dinner, dessert, and has his slippers in her hands as she helps him out of his shoes and kisses him on the shoulder and says how much she missed him and asks how his day at the office was. He wants impossible things, he knows.

Though he once felt distanced from his brother, he's come to accept that his brother is just cursed too, and he can't be mad at him forever. Watching his father die had changed how he saw his brother, realizing that he'd spent most of his life hating his father for something he'd been a part of too. He couldn't hold it over Hashirama's head anymore, and as of now he has no outstanding grudges. Life looks good. Except for one thing, that he's trying to change. He wants to settle down, start the family he was always raised to want. But there's a problem in that he's convinced he's cursed to a life of infidelity, and, well, one night stands are just too easy to have.
