Big Night.
It was Saturday night, and Cindy was going to do this properly. A card with a polite invitation to join her for dinner at 7, meeting on the first floor of HQ, had been placed in Saishu's room along with a blood-red Atelier Versace dress (slitted in the appropriate places to avoid too much movement restriction) and matching leather flat sandals. Cindy'd dressed up a bit herself.

The sandals are tremendously appreciated. They make up for the dress, really. Its nice that it has little in the way of movement restrictions, but its still... odd, to say the least. Still, Saishu very much wants to look good for her date. The card is a bit confusing... not because she can't read it... written in French, thank goodness... but because she's never gotten a formal invitation to anything before. Still, all easy enough to figure, and she's there 5 minutes before 7.

Cindy takes her arm, still a little enraptured. "Yes."

And there'll be a car for them, and when they get to the restaurant, Cindy figures she doesn't have to worry about Saishu worrying about the expense, since it's all in English and she probably doesn't have context, anyway. Thing smell delicious and the service is attentive, though. Cindy'll give an explanation of anything to do with utensils, read the menu for her, or anything else she needs with a hungry look almost equal to her own interest in the food.

..and Cindy is very interested in the food, oh goodness yes. She looks like she's about to devour the menu itself.

All that turns out to be right on - no context for the money, and her literacy in English is almost non-existent. She has an education, and the basis for learning is there, but the words make even less sense written as spoken. As such, the explanations help - and it seems, though she doesn't keep up with Cindy and her orange-powered appetite, Saishu definitely eats like a warrior, from what, and how much, she shows interest in.

Likewise, she gets the knife right off, and the concept of the fork, if not its execution fits perfectly. Eating liquids in small amounts with the spoon rather than just drinking it takes a bit longer, but she gets the idea... even if there's not much finesse yet.

Cindy says she's doing just fine with it.

The waiter is a little taken aback at the extent of the order Cindy gives him, and a little suspicious as to whether a seventeen-year-old will be able to pay for all of that in a place like this, until he sees the Centurion card and.. gets right on all of that. Quickly.

The food, as it starts coming, is indeed excellent. And it keeps coming. Which is a good thing for both of them.
