Shane was really excited to have found out the Matt Riely had written another book. He had not idea how he had missed it. But he absolutely loved his Scarecrow series. He had gone down to the local bookstore and picked up a copy as soon as he found out about the book.

He had already gotten half way through the book when he realized that maybe he should eat since he had already skipped two meals reading.

Shane headed down to the kitchen to make himself something to eat. The book was of course in his hand as he made his way down there.

"Yeah. I'm not the type to sit. I want to be out doing. I was going to join the Coast Guard, but things happened."

"Yeah I think I remember that. Pretty messed up situation," Shane says, "I can do the sitting thing as long a they don't drone on and on."

"Yeah," she said and unconsciously flexed her fingers. "I'd probably fall asleep if they did that. Though I do like history classes. Especially the ones on Rome."

That had not been a fun couple of days for anyone. "Generally what ended up happening for me in the classes weren't small."

"Well that Roman stuff has to be pretty easy for you right?"

"Well the stuff on the Republic," Cait said. "The Empire not so much."

"Still more of an advantage than I would have there," Shane says with a grin.

"True. I've always liked history. It's one of the few areas of study I like."

"That's kind of fun. I always thought history was kind of hard to be interactive."

"I think it depends on the teacher. I've had some really boring ones who could be used to cure insomnia and I've had some really great ones."

"Well I think that true with any subject really. I'm sure a boring professor could make a class and Dinosaurs unbearable."

Cait nodded her agreement. "I think you're right. Though I can say our classes in dinosaurs were interesting. Trips to the Savage Land are always fun."

"Yeah seeing living Dinosaurs as part of the class definitely beats any other way of learning about Dinosaurs."

"No better threat to get an A in the Class," Shane says with a laugh.

"For some reason I don't see many schools approving of that teaching method," she chuckled. Cait went back to the over and opened it for a moment to check the mac and cheese.

"Yeah even the more progressive school probably might take issue with threatening to feed students to dinosaurs," Shane says.

"So how is the Mac and Cheese looking?"

Cait smiled and grabbed a bowl. She put a good amount in it and handed him the bowl and a fork. "Honest opinion please. Even if it's the worst thing you've ever eaten."
