4. Chinese New Year!
I have been very busy with work recently, but I remembered something which I thought everyone might find interesting and wanted to share it!

The Chinese New Year is on the same day as Valentine's Day this year! Celebrating both at once should be fun. I am not sure what to do yet but I promise I will think of something soon! I want to make sure I can do something nice for all of my friends!

It is the year of the Tiger. I am not a tiger, but is anyone else here one?

How do you suppose we celebrate the Chinese New Year?

There are a lot of things to do for celebrating! Giving gifts, and eating certain foods, and wearing and decorating with a lot of red things for good luck! I know what I am planning on doing now for both holidays, but I cannot give it away.

Red seems to be a common number between the two holidays. At least your theme is already set.

Year of the Tiger? Who would care about that stuff?

I care. It is a holiday in China, so there must be a fairly large number of people who care there as well.

They may! You never know. There has to be at least a few people who do.

Then they can go and celebrate that shit elsewhere. No need to get personal live mixed up in work.

You are supposed to celebrate with other people though, and my friends work here.

Celebrate. You mean two for one?

Two for one? What does that mean?

Two cocks at one time. Any orifice you want, even the same one by both. Last years Valentines turned out popular with that, expecting it again.

That is... No! That is not what I meant at all! How can you call that celebrating?!

Lots of money from that. We still get paid double so what better way to spend it.

That is what you plan to do? You cannot do that! What about your resolution? Do not give up on it already! There must be another activity you can do that will not involve alcohol.

Pfft. New years resolution are meant to be broken.

They are not! If you make a resolution, it is important to stick to it!

Besides that, you made a promise to yourself! Even if you find that breaking a resolution is alright, breaking a vow is different.

It is not preaching! I am concerned because your vow sounded like something you would really not want to break!

Is it really? How neat is that. :)

I remember some of the people in my neighborhood growing up would set off fireworks and drink on the Chinese New Year...kinda like on the more widely recognized New Year, but hey. I remember seeing on TV before stuff about the giant parades which always looked fun; I bet they do one in Chinatown. Dunno how to incorporate the two holidays, though, but I'm looking forward to what you come up with!

And actually, since you mention it: I'm a Tiger. Just barely, but hey. I used to know what some of that stuff meant, but I've since forgotten.

It is very neat!

I do not do either of those things myself, but I am sure they must enjoy it. I hope nobody was hurt doing that? It is not allowed for a reason after all.

I have a really good idea now! If you are looking forward to it, I will make sure I remember to do something for you!

You are! That is great! I only remember the meaning for my own, but it is easy enough to look up.

"You are sensitive, emotional and capable of great love. However, you have a tendency to get carried away and be stubborn about what you think is right; often seen as a "Hothead" or rebel."

The not drinking is a personal choice, but you don't set off fireworks? That's like...the third best thing about holidays is the excuse to set them off as much as you want. ...Oh, wait, they're banned in this county, aren't they? Damn, almost forgot about that. Glad I wasn't here for the regular New Years, hehe. And yeah, there were usually a couple minor burns and such, but nothing major.

I'm looking forward to seeing what your idea is. :)

...And wow. Uh. That's pretty spot-on except for the hothead part... I'm generally very calm.

That is a good thing! You would defnitely be in trouble if you had done it here by mistake.

I did it in California when I lived there. It is technically allowed...though, my mother did not really allow me. But it was worth breaking the rule a little! Seeing them is one of the best things! I am glad that nobody was really hurt too.

You are not a hothead, but are you a rebel then?

(Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

I suppose it would be less fun if I was the only one setting them off. And very odd. So I likely would have remembered.

Glad you got to have the experience. :)

Let's just say I like being a bit out of the box. Sometimes it got me around obstacles placed in my way, which may have been rules and orders at times. So...a little. ♥

But maybe you would draw a crowd and then others would be there to enjoy with you! Oh...but that would still not be allowed, would it?

It is okay to break a rule once in a while if you really must, I think. As long as you do not make it a habit, right!

No, it is not. It is still good though!

I cannot promise it would be perfect, but I would definitely be willing to try to make something if you wanted it! It would probably not be like takeout at least.
