APPEARANCE: Andre is TALL! He’s 6’5” and he’s stacked! He has dark eyes and a muscular body. He plays center and his life is all about basketball. He carries himself with pride and confidence, but he’s not arrogant. He’s the sweetest teddy bear of a guy. He laughs deep and loves hanging out with the guys. He’s a star on the court with his quick moves and big hands, easily dominating the competition. He’s very laid back off the field and people often comment on how sweet he is.

STRENGTHS: He is FIERCELY determined to make his dreams come true of being a basketball star and taking care of him mom and his sisters. He’s an ok student, though he gets tutored in several subjects. Often by a girl he ends up buttering up to.
WEAKNESSES: His mama. His sisters. He’s a sweetie and can easily be distracted by a pretty girl with a bright smile.
DETAILED PERSONALITY: Andre is a great guy. He’s funny, sweet, charming. He’s always in the halls with a high five and a smile. He’s friends with everybody. He’s easygoing, loves to hang out at parties and sort of moves from clique to clique, never stigmatizing him to one thing.
Andre loves his family. When he’s not playing basketball, which is rare, or working sacking groceries on Sunday and in the evenings, he likes to check in on his family. He’s determined to be the first one in his family not to slip into the gang culture. But sometimes, with his brother’s pressuring him, he wonders if making what he makes in a month in one night would be worth it.
A ladies man, Andre loves his adoring fangirls, sometimes with one or two at a time. He’s sweet and flirty and wants to find a girlfriend, but his schedule often doesn’t work with that.
HISTORY: Since he was a kid, Andre was a skilled athlete. He ran track, played basketball, even played a little football. But in Middle School he got bumped up from JV to Varsity in 7th grade and never looked back. Basketball is his life. He plays anytime anywhere. High School ball. City leagues. You name he’s in it.
But aside from basketball, Andre has a sort of Sophie’s choice to make. He works nights and Sundays bagging groceries to help support his mom and little sisters, while his brothers sell drugs and work for a group of Bloods. He wants to be honest, and make an honest living, but they make in an hour what he makes in a month. And it’s a real temptation to him. Which brings him to his next temptation: Pro ball. The NBA wants him, but his big mama wants him to finish high school. The money would be great, but she’s worried if something happens to him he’ll be ruined. So he’s sort of stuck between this rock and a hard place. Right now he’s choosing school, but if he can’t keep his grades up next year that choice may change. It’s all about eligibility, of course.
Andre’s no slouch in the social sphere. He moves between groups easily and stays friends with everyone. He’s sweet and funny. He loves girls. Loves them. And would do lots of hot and dirty things with girls, and often does, with just a sultry suggestion and a well placed hand. He’s not a womanizer, but he’s a player all right.
