CHARACTER'S APPEARANCE: Upon first being sighted by one Jon Snow, Jaime's description is as follows; "Ser Jaime Lannister was twin to Queen Cersei; tall and golden, with flashing green eyes and a smile that cut like a knife. He wore crimson silk, high black boots, a black satin cloak. On the breast of his tunic, the lion of his House was embroidered in gold thread, roaring its defiance. They called him the Lion of Lannister to his face and whispered 'Kingslayer' behind his back. Jon found it hard to look away from him.
This is what a king should look like, he thought to himself." There is no doubt that Jaime is handsome, but it's more in physicality than personality. While once he was nearly the exact replica of his sister, since being captured at the Whispering Wood, Jaime has grown more rugged and careless in appearance - something that Cersei wouldn't approve of if she knew.
CHARACTER'S PERSONALITY: Jaime was an upstart from the very moment he was born. Though he was always prone to arrogance, in his earlier days Jaime was a tad more noble than one would find him now. He was also gullible and utterly naive - which consequently lead into his incestuous relationship with his twin sister. She has always had a certain power over him, and Jaime's been at her beck and call for nearly his entire life; and is utterly convinced that she loves him as much as he loves her. His noble streak was lost when he killed the man he'd sworn to protect, thus earning the epithet 'Kingslayer' - and Jaime surmised that he might as well be the man everyone expects him to be; a self-obsessed, traitorous bastard. Of course, it wasn't that far off the mark in the first place.
Jaime isn't quite the type that's an asshole on the outside and a softie on the inside. He's pretty much asshole all the way through - there's just different
levels to his caddish nature. He's clever and quick-witted, though he's no scholar, and that streetwise intelligence is tempered by the fact that he can be quite impulsive. Jaime loves to laugh, especially if it's at someone else's expense, and he's more the type to make scathing comments rather than be a blatant bastard to someone. He's a talented fighter and knows it - his ability to battle is his crown and glory, so it's no wonder that he's particularly pissed off that he was beaten by a
child in the Whispering Wood.
Jaime is laid-back and much easier to get along with than his older - by a few minutes - sister, and despite what people say about him, he is, (mostly) loyal - except when he decides that loyalty is no longer the best course of action. He betrayed his younger brother, Tyrion, when he was younger - which he regrets to this day, but his betrayal of King Aerys has never made him feel at all guilty. Jaime is of the mind that if he makes a promise, he keeps it - but then again, there is generally always an exception to the rule.
CHARACTER'S BACKGROUND: Younger twin to Cersei, and son of Tywin and Joanna, Jaime Lannister is one of the most famous knights in all of Westeros. At fifteen, he became a knight and ascended to the elite Kingsguard, the members of which can neither hold lands nor marry. Two years after his induction he murdered Mad King Aerys during the sack of King's Landing, earning him the epithet "Kingslayer". Though he shares his sister's arrogance, amorality, and striking good looks, he is much more reckless and easily amused.
Jaime was an immensely talented warrior from his youth, fighting gallantly against the Kingswood Brotherhood (an outlaw band) and was invited to join the Kingsguard at the age of 15, becoming its youngest inductee. He agreed to the appointment because of the honor involved, and also to be close to Cersei again (he loved her incestuously), as Tywin had taken her to court with him to match her with a suitable suitor (preferably Rhaegar Targaryen). However, within a day of his appointment, Jaime discovered that Aerys, paranoid of Tywin's power, had extended the invitation to turn him into a hostage and deprive Tywin of his heir. Furthermore, Tywin, slighted by this and by Aerys' refusal to wed Rhaegar to Cersei (the crown prince eventually wed Elia of Dorne), resigned his office of Hand and returned with Cersei to Casterly Rock, separating the erstwhile lovers once again. Finally, it became endlessly clear to Jaime that Aerys deserved his moniker ("the Mad"), especially after witnessing the deaths of Brandon and Rickard Stark.
Shortly before the Sack of King's Landing, Jaime learned that Aerys planned to immolate the city with wildfire should it be taken by enemy forces, killing not only the rebellious army but all its citizens as well. To prevent this mass slaughter, he slew Aerys, as well as the infrastructure the king had placed to ensure his orders was carried out; Jaime later reflected that he is often reviled for what he (Jaime) considers his finest act. Faced with scorn for his oathbreaking ways, Jaime embraced the arrogant and amoral personality people seemed to expect from him.
After Cersei became queen, Jaime fathered all of her children. He attempted to protect their secret at Winterfell by throwing the seven-year old Bran Stark from a window; this, among other factors, incited the War of the Five Kings that followed. He gave battle to Robb Stark at the Whispering Wood and was captured there, and was imprisoned at the Tully stronghold of Riverrun. It was there that he discovered a 'rip', which had been opened somehow by a previous visitor or prisoner - and through that, Jaime made his escape. He's been trying to get home ever since.

here. Good old Wikipedia).
SAMPLE: Jaime had met Welsh princes who seemed very happy to want to cut him up bit by bit, a splendid fellow by the name of Henry Wotton, seen something called a
car that he still couldn't quite comprehend, and been challenged to a joust by a King called Pellinore who lost before they'd even begun. All in all, it had been very exciting but also utterly exasperating and
exhausting - he still hadn't found his way back to Westeros, back to Cersei, back to the war - back to where he was
meant to be and wanted to be. It was fortunate that he wasn't aware what was meant to happen to him in that story, or else he'd probably be doing everything he possibly could to keep away from it, Cersei or no Cersei.
Currently he had no idea where he was, and the only thing nearby was an elegant, albeit tired-looking black horse in a field. Jaime was dressed in the clothes he'd stolen from his time in The Once and Future King - which was close to what he usually wore back home, and he only hoped that this attire would be suited for the world he was currently in - though he had a very bad feeling they wouldn't be. Jaime sat down against the fence near where the horse was grazing and glanced about for a short time - he'd been lucky with those doors in worlds so far, but he wasn't sure where to go next to open one up - or
how, in fact. He supposed he'd have to learn how to open these doors himself sooner or later, if he wanted to get back home sometime in the near future. Jaime pondered for a few moments, then smirked ruefully himself and pushed into a stand.
Then he walked off to steal himself a horse.
STORYLINES: I'm taking Jaime from a point in canon that's RIGHT before a huge change in his character, so I'm really excited to explore that change or see if he goes in a totally different direction - which is entirely possible. Considering he's not a magic user or anything, he'd have been using rips made by other people to travel - so I think it'd be neat if he's been in cahoots with someone, something, etc. I'd also LOVE for a Brienne of Tarth (another character from his canon) to be sent after him or something like that.
