The Justice League's Watchtower was not used very often these days. The Justice League on Earth operated out of the Secret Sanctuary, and the newly formed JLI operated out of the Hall of Justice, but the satellite still served as the occasional meeting place and the older Leaguers such as her father still occasionally maintained some workspace there.
It was also a place the older members of the League sometimes came to get together and reminisce, as was going on tonight. A few of them had also brought their children. K'hym was not surprised that her father had brought her. Since her strange return, he had treated her like a china doll, afraid to let her out of his sight. Being in a different room in the same building was about as close as she got to time to herself.
She understood, on some level. Finding her again after he had thought he had lost her for decades. And she too, was adapting. Mars was gone. Her mother was gone. Her telepathy was gone. She did not know what she wanted out of life, on this strange blue world.
She stared out the large windows, looking out over the Sea of Tranquility.
A dead world. Just like hers' was. One of but a handful of Martians remaining.
