But it isn't, so I can't for that is not an accurate name. But you should suggest something else, you are so clever, I would love to hear your ideas!

Oh I'm willing to bet it's ugly. Babies always are.

No! Babies are the most lovely things in the world! They are so innocent and sweet and trusting, oh, Zacharias, how could you say that!

Benvolio if it's a boy or Kindra if it's a girl. You can tell, right?

Yes! And it is a girl thestral, Charles, it is so lovely, I have been crying and hugging it over and over, it's the most beautiful girl in the world! I am having trouble writing all of the words down because it is so lovely, I feel awed, Charles, just so awed to see something so magical in the world!

Kindra is so pretty, oh, how i love it. Are you feeling up to seeing her? Perhaps that would cheer your cold away, to see a baby thestral!

I could name it Puck! Or Hamlet, but that's so tragic! And male, for it is a girl thestral, though I love Tiberia or Imogen or Cordelia, though that is a very tragic and sad name, and I certainly would not name it after Ophelia for if it drowned in a river, I would feel so responsible and sad that I don't think I could ever live with myself.

Do you think I should read them Shakespeare? Would it make them happier, perhaps?

No, that it exists. That's what's tragic.

Hm. I think I would feel slightly less proud. Is it a girl? You could name it Morag.

Oooh, Morag is a lovely name for a baby! It's so proud and strong, and we are in Scotland! Oh, I love that idea, Michael! Morag Ginny, perhaps!

Would you like to come see it with me? I could introduce you, and it could know you, and you could know it, and you could become the best of friends, like we are! And then you could come and have a snack with it at teatime, if you wanted, because thestrals like to have teatime, but not tea, for they rather prefer their meat, which I don't for I like my meat cooked.

Yes! Which is your favourite right now!

[info]lonqbottom

Sure! I mean, of course! I would certainly like to meet it. Are you going to feed it meat? Are we really the best of friends? I reckon it will grow quickly, so we have to catch a glimpse of it at this size before that happens.

Linda? How about Ginny?
