One Groggy Christmas |
[13 Dec 2011|08:44pm] |
Twas the night before Christmas and all through Japan, Not a monster was stirring, not even Rodan. Grogg was asleep, he snored without pause, Waiting for a visit, from old Santa Clause.
When suddenly he awoke with a thump, And heard from the next room, "Hey, that was me rump!" He sprang from his bed, in his slow turtlely way, Had Santa Come? Was this Christmas Day?
Into the next room, he went with a bolt, He stopped, looked around, and then felt a jolt! There by the stocking he had hung by himself, Was a strange little man, a real Christmas elf!
How had this elf gotten into this space, When jolly ol' Grogg had not one fireplace? "Help me you must," the little man said, "Santa's been taken! Taken right from the sled!"
"He was delivering presents, he was out in the sleigh, "When from out of the blue, came a strange purple ray! "It lifted him up, right into the sky, "Aliens took him away, he couldn't say bye!
"I'm asking you Grogg, just as quick as can be, "Santa's been kidnapped, and us Elves we, "Can't do a thing, we're not brave enough, "Without Santa, Christmas is going to be tough!"
Santa in trouble? What was Grogg to do? Would he sit and cry, a boo-hoo-hoo? Would this be the year, Christmas did end? Or would it be saved, by Grogg, Children's Friend?
"Grogg going to help," he said with a smile. "Grogg will play Santa, well, just for a while." He put on the coat, he put on the hat, He turned all around, "Does this make Grogg look fat?"
Into the sleigh, climbed the hero named Grogg, And into the air, the reindeer did slog. "On Dasher, on Prancer, on uh... Grumpy and Happy, "On Dopey, and Sneezy, on Bashful and Slappy!"
To each house Grogg went, delivering presents, Making sure each child's morning was pleasant. How he got in, well, we might never know, Nor how this turtle, did so well in the snow.
But then came a ship, way up in the sky, The same that caught Santa, this alien bad guys! They were surprised, to say the very least To see Santa replaced, by this scaly beast.
They tried to take Grogg, to capture him too, But Grogg, well he, was much tougher than me or than you. He gave a great roar, such a terrible sound, The aliens let him go, he fell to the ground.
But he picked himself up and right then and right there, Took in a breath, he took in some air He let it out with a great blast of fire, It rose from the ground like a great flaming spire
It pierced the ship there, right there in its side, The aliens inside, well, they wanted to hide. They wanted to run, so the pushed Santa out, When Grogg saw him falling, he started to shout
But he moved oh so swiftly, he moved oh so quick, He moved fast enough to catch old Saint Nick! Santa was happy, he thanked Grogg right there, For helping the children, for which they both cared.
"Thank-you Grogg, for making Christmas so bright, Will you ride with me, for the rest of the night?" What could he do? Of course he said yes. To ride with Santa? Why that would be best!
With Grogg beside him, Santa's night was quite good, Christmas morning came, like it has and it should And they were heard to exclaim, as they road out of sight, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
