I finally got to tell my parents. They were...well, they had questions, but I answered them assertively and made it clear that we weren't going to change our minds.

By the way, I hope you know I'll hunt you down and murder you if you change your mind. I say that with all the love in my heart, of course.

Now I just need to work on telling Sam. Carys is going to have to wait until after the World Cup - she has too much to think about right now.

Say, you wouldn't want to join me when I tell your favorite ex-but-soon-to-be-brother-in-law-again that you asked me to marry you and I said yes, would you? If anything I can reflect light off the ring into his eyes so he's temporarily blinded and we can make a run for it after telling him the news. Flawless plan, am I right?

I wasn't planning on keeping it a secret either. We kept us a secret for so long, I couldn't do it again now that people know we're together. And you do have a point about the ring. I just wanted to be able to tell people the right way before a journalist sees the ring on my hand and announces it to the entire population of the wizarding world before we've had the chance.

Sorry, I just...when people say things like "there's something we should talk about" my mind jumps to the worst case scenario.

	If you say so. Though you do tend to be right. Its part of a deal I made with the Tattler. They can't say a word on our engagement until I give them the go ahead. Well, it started as a charmed candy ring, but then he walked me over to a gazebo right off the streets of Hogsmeade, and he gave this speech about how he knew what it was like living without me and how he didn't want to go another day without having me in his life; then I cried like a total girl and he revealed the ring he intended me to have before I said yes. It was incredibly romantic, and sincere, and I melted like ice cream.

I'm aware that Sam is going to kill me, which is why I've been putting it off.
