Bang Bang!~

It's quite late here, I don't know why I am still awake....

Worked on the movie rental application some more today. We've got a new feature going which shows the customers rental history. Pretty easy to create. Did a couple bug fixes and stuff. Brought out the AR-15 today, that was awesome, I love it so much.

Also called Apple back in Burlington, MA. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be working there because they don't offer full time specialist jobs at the moment, and that's the only openings they've got at the moment. Oh well, maybe something else will come up.

I've added 2 new modules to SceneJournal so that I can crosspost to both DeathNote and Scribbld...tested and working. I'm pretty psyched to move to SceneJournal as my main. Although, I'm not too happy with the amount of themes offered. Oh well...

Tomorrow, not much is happening. Probably going to work on the movie rental application some. I think Morgan and I have agreed that this movie application is the last of our ventures into geekery. We'll be cutting back on a lot of it, so we can focus on other things going on in our lives. Scribbld, SceneJournal, DeathNote will continue to run, but not much work will be done on them. As mentioned we'll continue to support them as best we can and with what time we have but since they're not really paying jobs, not much effort will be put into them. Of course they'll run! How else can we document our lives and read about yours! :)

Ok, it's like 3am. I should probably get some sleep so I can wake up at a semi-decent hour tomorrow :) I really want to buckle down and study Japanese at some point.

MP5-ing

Yesterday was my best friends birthday. We decided to meet up at this shooting range in NH (about a 2.5 hour drive for me). We both made it there around the same time, cool considering he was coming from Massachusetts and I was coming from Vermont. Anyways, we got there, and got this MP5-SD. It had a built in suppressor, so it was relatively quiet...the guy at the place was wicked cool, totally into his job and shooting and all, so that made for a really good customer service experience. He gave us the whole safety talk and how the gun worked and such, definitely a good talk. Then we went off and shot the thing, unfortunately it kept jamming so after we finished going through 100 rounds we went back and traded it for the other MP5. This one didn't have a suppressor so it was a bit louder and his a slight bit more kick to it. The other MP5 also had a 3 round burst fire which was cool. Anyways the second gun worked well and didn't jam once. I definitely enjoyed shooting both guns, first time I've ever fired a real gun and wow.

We spent about an hour and 200-300 rounds, not much, but it sure was fun!! After that we went to Chili's and got lunch/dinner. I was home by 7pm or so. [info]emilie and I finished up her horsey cowboy puzzle and watched Ratatouille. Went to bed pretty early but I pretty much fell asleep right away, quite tired.

This morning I did some consulting calls and email, will have to get to the rest after I come back from a consulting appointment. I've got some pics of Greg with the MP5 and also some other horsey pics...will post tonight or this afternoon.

Fixed, Locked & Loaded!

Well something in my gun got messed up and I actually figured it out and repaired it myself. I was really close to calling Craig at Federal Airsoft, but I figured I'd give it a go. Apparently a little cable came loose from the "gearbox" and all I had to was fix that and poof, it worked again! I was quite proud of myself considering I know nothing about how these work, but I definitely learned a lot.

Anyways, by accident I had put in the correct address but the wrong zipcode on my AirsoftGI order so it went the wrong way...fortunately it was the Moretown zipcode so it wasn't very far away. The driver endedup leaving all my stuff at Small Dog, which was a bit funny, but it gave me the chance to say hello to the warehouse guys.

Apparently Ryan quit and then Matt said hell no you're not, so Ryan stayed for another week, but after that he was done. No one has heard or seen him since, not even his parents which is a little sketcky...I might ask Troy for his number in Warren, cause it would be nice to know everything with him is okay.

Today I helped Keith move 21 bags of mulch from Montpelier to where he lives in Williamstown. Very easy. It was nice to kick it with him. Tomorrow we're going to see Iron Man. That's going to be a lot of fun. I was kinda hoping that [info]makkintosshu could go with us, but I've not heard from him since Sunday I think it was. I hope things are getting a bit better for him.

[info]emilie is bringing home pizza for dinner, that's going to be awesome. Tomorrow she's headed to RI to see her sick grandma and parents and all. She'll be back hopefully Sunday...Tomorrow I have consulting which is nice, hopefully it's short, and I'll have the afternoon to myself.

I believe the DNS issues are resolved with the site, DNS propagates throughout the internet much faster then it used too. I think that's about it, I've got to do some mail backup compression either tonight or tomorrow afternoon, I am sure that RAID set it getting pretty full by now...I've gotta by another 500GB drive and setup another RAID set at some point...

Alright, over and out!

GTA IV, Hacking, Shooting & Zombies!

As usual, my excuse for not updating is the fact that I've been super busy. Have been on a bunch of consulting calls, working at the barn, and playing with my new guns.

I finally got my hands on some guns. I got a Tokyo Marui MP5 RAS with a flashlight, aimpoint, vertical grip and a suppressor. It's a bit customized, but not to much. It was used but it seriously looks and works like it's brand new. You can definitely tell the difference between a Tokyo Marui and something else, it shoots really nice, smooth, straight and fast! My second gun is a rifle, I got the MP5 for CQB (close quarter battle), and the rifle is a Classic Army M15A4. I had the guy change stocks to something a little bit more tactile looking, but because we did that I have to have a battery pouch on the stock. Not a big deal, worth the trade-off. I also added a really nice scope, a vertical grip and a flashlight.

I also snagged a Tokyo Marui Glock, which is REALLY NICE. I've only fired it a couple times, because I forgot gas the second time.

Definitely kickass! I also bought a few extra magazines for both the MP5, the rifle and the glock. I am pretty much armed to the teeth and ready to play!

On Sunday (this past Sunday), [info]emilie and I shot the MP5 and the rifle, (not the glock since I forgot the gas). Definitely obliterated the targets which was fun! There's one magazine I got for my MP5 which completey sucks, I think it's a low or medium cap, not cool. It sucks to load too.

On Saturday, we went out with my good friends to the Japanese restaurant (Koto) and had some really good food! Then we went to see this movie the girls picked out called Baby Momma or something. Terrible, don't ever see it. But it was really nice to hang out with my friends. It was actually Keith and his wife. He got me a Gears of War poster, 2 REAL grenades (obviously not live), and a book, er actually 2 books, the first one is the Mac Apple II DOS book, as a joke, and quite funny, and a zombie survival guide book. The zombie book is awesome, I'm only on page 20 or so, but it's kinda freaky in that it really makes everything they talk about sound so real. Definitely a good book, check it out!

So Monday, not much happened, I bought some woodland camo gear. I'm going to order the woodland UTG vest from AirsoftGI probably since the Army/Navy store here doesn't have it in the woodland camo. One of the ladies who works there annoys me, she's so stupid, bad customer service skills. Doesn't appear to want to be helpful ever, which sucks. I'll probably not go there anymore and order my gear from another place.

I've been on the Vermont Airsoft boards, looking to meet new people and hopefully play some with them...also joined the NEASG boards...some guy on there told me the battery I needed for my aimpoint and it was right...very good.

Today, not much else, I finally got ahold of Joe, apparently the $25,000 loan he was supposed to get never came through which sucks a lot. I also talked to my good buddy Cliff who should be back in VT within a month or so, and only for a month which sucks, but he'll be down in Boston which isn't too far, especially if I'm going down there a couple times this summer to play shoot em' up with Greg.

I got my hands on Grand Theft Auto IV and started playing it this morning/afternoon. It's REALLY GOOD. I had a lot of fun with GTAIII, but then it all started to get to be boring and too repetitive, and now it's like I've not played it since maybe when Vice City first came out, and I'm really enjoying it! Awesome game, haven't shot, fought or killed anything yet, but driving around the city is amazing. They really did an awesome job, it looks beautiful! I'm only like 20-30 minutes in, but it's a wonderful game so far!

I've been attempting to hack my PSP, but it's just too much for me right now, they need some really good directions or something cause I don't have time to troubleshoot and sort that crap out. See previous post if you can lend a hand! I wish it was much easier then it is, I have a couple games, I really wanna try out! Driver for Playstation being one of them :)

So anyways, Keith and I are going to see Iron Man on Friday after work, that'll be awesome, we might go shoot my guns if I get my goddamn charger. I should be getting that and some more gear on the 1st of May which is Thursday, HOPEFULLY!

I think I've covered everything, maybe tonight Emilie and I will relax, watch 10,000 BC and eat some popcorn, but first we're making a chocolate mousse pie! It's going to be amazing and yummy.

Have a wonderful day everyone!
