Busy Busy!!

Had a really good time this weekend. My buddy/best friend came up from Massachusetts to get a couple things done up here in VT. He picked out the place for his wedding and it's pretty local so I'm happy. I'll be the best man there, actually one of two, so that's going to badass. I'm pretty excited for that. Also snagged an 1911 and an M203 from him, so I am super psyched about that. Not much else went on this weekend. We finished up a large portion of the new database server with lots of help from [info]ltdan. Poor [info]morgan spent like 5 hours trying to figure out the right Gentoo Linux image to use and then creating the bootable USB key. Finally around 12am on Sunday morning we finished up with the base OS install. I think this week we'll work on getting MySQL up and running and setting up permissions and other fun things.

Saturday I went out for an amazing ride on my horse. We just ran through the fields, and up hills and had an amazing time. I don't think I could bring myself to sell him. I'd rather live in a cardboard box then have to sell him.

Today, I worked at the barn and on some class work. Also decided that we're not going to do offsite backup from this location. Instead I've written a script that snags what we were going to backup offsite, copies any changes since last copy to an external drive. I'll then take that drive to a much faster network connection and backup from there. This will allow me to also backup email backups which we weren't planning on doing.

That's about all I have planned for today. I also made a Subversion and Trac repository/project respectfully for DeathNote. I think we're going to need to buy a new server if we really want to be serious about DeathNote.me because currently we're running the site on a 32bit system and we should really be using a 64bit system. I was thinking about doing another Chenbro case, 2U this time. And run 2 OS drives mirrored and 2 drives for MySQL. I think that'd be pretty badass. But that's going to be at least $1500, which we don't have...especially since we just spent like $2300 on the new database server haha.

I'm watching Fruits Basket but it's an English dub and I'm like "this" close to dropping it because I can't stand the annoying English voices and phrases and whatnot. It's terrible, especially after having just watched Welcome to the NHK which was amazing. Alright, I suppose that's enough chatter. :)

Friesian Is Getting There!!

So finally UPS came around 4:30 and dropped off the logic board. I've been working on getting all the components that we've got installed into the new database server (aka Friesian). I took some pics, they're on my FaceBook. It's getting there. I ordered the PSU from eWiz and I actually just got an email from them saying the items have been shipped. I also snagged a 4GB MicroSD card so I can start using my DS again and "playing" My Japanese Coach hehe. It was like $10 for the little 4GB card, so I thought that was a good deal. Some how adding that brought the 3 day shipping down to $30 from $60...weird.

So what else...that's about it since I last posted. I forgot to mention that I saw Sara yesterday. She was a girl who used to be at my old barn but she left when we did....mostly because the new barn manager was a complete moron and no one liked her. Sara's sister Abby is helping at Towne-Ayer this week since Rita and Bethany are at the Vermont Spring Classic horse show...so Sara came along with her yesterday to see the horses and all. It was really nice seeing her. I actually kind of had a crush on her before [info]emilie ...but some how Sara knew about Emilie and I breaking up and when I was talking about how crazy Emilie was, Sara was like yeeeeah haha....I love how everyone knew this before I really saw it, I would have loved it if someone had told me before I spent 4 years of my life with this girl hahaha. But whatever, to be honest, I don't regret a single second I spent with Emilie, the fights, the good times, the amazing times, the horrible times, I wouldn't trade it for the world. But yeah, enough of that haha...

So I'm just catching up on emails, and some forums and stuff, going to hit the bed soon. I'm tired!!

Oh yeah, no YouTube links for the OVA...that will not count, it has to be a file I can download! :) Thanks.

Oh The Dramz

So today, I woke up, and [info]emilie  had left a comment and a message in my Facebook Inbox. The comment was on a photo I took of her old horse, I believe she called me an ass and told me not to post the image. LOL. LIKE SERIOUSLY?! Is she for fucking real?! She gets more and more ridiculous as the days go by. Her Inbox message basically read that she was mad at me blah blah, she was truly over what we had been, and she hated me and she never wanted to talk to me again...you get the point. Basically she made an ass out of herself again...which is sad. I wish she would just stop. It's so sad, to see such a an amazing and beautiful girl turn into this. But it's her choice...and there's nothing I can do about it. [info]morgan  then proceeded to rip her a new one....which was relatively humorous...

Anyways, I've been spending a buncha time on MyAnimeList and AnimePaper. The people are nice, at least the ones I've met. Last night I installed a nice PHP script on Percheron which snags my latest watched anime/read manga and displays it on my own personally made forum sig. Wicked slick. It basically uses RSS, GD, and PHP. Very nice stuff.

I'm getting back into anime, which really excites me, mostly because it's hilariously funny stuff. I downloaded a dating sim last night, but I have a feeling it's of the hentai type...woops. I won't know for sure until I install it...will do that tonight.

I'm going to order some Chinese when I'm on the road, so I can just stop in and pick it up. I might even eat it there. Yummy!!

Not much happening tonight, might study some Japanese and watch some Welcome to the NHK.

Fantastic Life

Wow, today was amazing by any standards. I did wake up a bit later then usual, but it was okay. Woke up. worked on editing the Horse.13 project page. Removed [info]emilie 's links since she's not really apart of the "family" anymore and added the Trac and Subversion sections. Then I chatted with a couple friends, took a shower and watched some Welcome to the NHK which is hilariously amazing. I really love this series! I've got the first manga in the series, but I sure as hell would love to collect them all :) I've never collected a full manga series, which makes me sad. I've love to get all the Death Note books along with Welcome to the NHK. Maybe Gunslinger Girl too and Couple, hehe I love them all!! :)

Call me weird or whatever...but I'd also like to try out one of those Japanese dating sim games, obviously the non-Hentai ones. Just to see what it's like...maybe I'll snag one of JList or something.

This afternoon I spent at the barn work my horse. We did some jumping which was fun...although the outdoor was a bit mushy...but we had an awesome time nonetheless. I uploaded a couple pictures of him to Facebook. I really want to get another DSLR camera, probably the Canon Digital Rebel XTi or the XSi. Both very amazing. I wish I had my Rebel XT...oh well.

The CPU and motherboard to the new server should be in this week. I'll be ordering the PSU whenever the final funds hit my bank account.

Talked to my farrier today. I'm probably going to install ZenCube or whatever that shopping cart/ecommerce software is called and we'll use that. I think it might be easier to integrate that into the site theme over something like OSCommerce.

Tonight, nothing is going on. Probably watching some more Welcome to the NHK. I probably forgot to mention that I got my "Death Note" in the mail the other week. It's awesome. The first pages contain the rules, the next page has a few names that Light wrote down and the next says "Lind L. Tailor and then some more names. Basically it's amazing!! Any Death Note fan should have one :) [info]morgan  and I both got em.

I got a few new JDRAMAs, can't remember the names at the moment. I have so many things I need to watch haha. I think I would like to see Wolverine...has anyone seen it? Thoughts? How about that Star Trek movie? I've not really a Star Trek fan, but I heard it was kind of cool.

Oh yeah, I registered for Fundamentals of Nutrition and Japanese Communication, I am wicked psyched about taking them this summer!!!

Peace out!

War All Of The Time...

It's pretty much been forever since I've updated. I've been insanely busy with about a billion things going on. So [info]emilie  and I are pretty much done. I'm sick of her jerking me around and all of that bullshit. It's funny because now even her roommate is starting to dislike her. It's a common trend I am seeing with this girl, so it's a wonder that I hung around with her for 4 years. Pretty much everyone she comes in contact with her, she ends up lying and laying out all of her bullshit and they end up hating her. It's too bad. She used to be an amazing girl. If she'd just stop lying and being who she used to be (an amazing, cute, funny and wonderful person) then she might actually keep some of these people as friends. I don't get it...it's sad really because she really was amazing...but whatever. It's not my issue anymore. I've moved on and I am actively seeking out a new girlfriend, someone who's honest, caring and enjoy being with me because they like me.

There are so many other things I want to say about this girl, but I am not sure if it's worth my time haha

I applied for a job as a Linux Server Administrator at one of the local ISPs but I was too over-qualified and asking for too much money haha. I'm too smart for my own good, so while that kind of sucks (sucks because I love Linux/server administration) it's a good thing because I will now stay at UVM and I will probably be getting a degree in Equine Science and possibly Japanese communication which I am really excited about! It's going to be a lot of fun. I'm taking Japanese Communication and Fundamentals in Nutrition this summer, and I'll be taking probably another 2-3 classes this fall. Really awesome...

I've been working with [info]morgan  to build our new server. 95% of it is out of pocket money which sucks, but we love doing it so it'll be worth it. Currently we've only got the RAID card, case, rails and the brackets for the PSU. The case is wicked sexy. I'll post some pics and stuff when we get more of the gear in.

I've been riding a lot, and my horse is showing it. He's getting nice and muscley(??) haha. He's looks amazing. I'll be riding again tomorrow night after work, so that'll be fun! And tomorrow is Friday, so that makes it even more fun!!

I've started watching Welcome to NHK, and I like it so far, although I've only seen one episode. I have a feeling it'll be some good fun :) I also finished Death Note, which I absolutely loved. Really awesome series :D Ryuk is hilarious! I really want to watch Resident Evil: Degeneration, I semi-watched it like a month or two ago, but I would really like to actually have time to pay attention and not watch it while doing 200 other things. Haha.

Not much else going on besides all that...today I'm just going home to relax. I might work on a bit of my Japanese stuff, but that's about it.

It's Getting Better...

Been a bit since I last updated. Many things have happened since. Last week was nothing unusual. It went by really quickly. There's been a lot to do at work, because one of the big projects at work finally got some more funding so they've been going full speed ahead and they've got a lot of web work for me to be doing. I usually tended to do things slowly or not at all, so there wouldn't be days where I wasn't working. But now it's pretty crazy. I've been working most days with zero breaks until the end of the day, or I'll work until 4:15 or so, and just leave for the day, rather do my lunch then haha. It works though, I'd rather just get a lot done, so I feel accomplished and then have a nice break or leave early.

[info]emilie  and I hung out on Thursday. We've started playing World of Warcraft. We're humans on Turylon. I'm a mage and she's a paladin. We're definitely having fun with it. We sing the Billy Maclure song, mostly because we are questing in a mine (Jasperload and Fargo Deep) hehe. We're so silly. We both bought little cat pets too, to match the ones we have in real life :) I think we'll be shortly going to Westfall since we're pretty much done in Elwynn Forest. I'm having a blast with it. I could work on my 56 Orc but, I really just don't have time at the moment.

I've been watching Death Note too. It's fantastic! I really really love it! I think I might buy the manga at some point too. It's really really great stuff! :)

Today, not much happened, I watched some Death Note, and hung at the barn. I am going to be sponsoring one of my friends classes at the big Morgan horse show in Massachusetts this summer. That's really great, she's a really good rider.

Tonight, my plans are study Japanese and probably more Death Note, I really like how I am starting to understand some of the words written & spoken in anime, TV and movies. Hehe.

Post-Holidays

I dunno if it's really post holidays, do people consider New Years/Eve part of the holidays?? I guess I do. I never do anything. Christmas was okay, I got a new WoW hoody to replace the one that I had which is got a buncha holes (I still love it and plan to wear it though). Not much else though, and I really don't care. I hate Christmas. I hate getting and giving presents. I attempt to make the day as regular as possible, but of course we've got to go to my parents and all, blah. It's not that things are terrible or miserable or there's fighting or there's something bad about the holiday. I just don't like it.

[info]emilie and I watched some more BECK last night. I quite like that show! We tried to watch Neo-Tokyo, but I think I might end up watching that one myself. It's a bit, not like the normal anime we watch. We also watched some of the new Bam Margera movie, hilarious as usual. I actually will probably finish it up after this entry. I'm also planning on picking out another anime series to watch on my iPod (when I'm on the bus and all).

Nothing going on tonight at all, just the way I like it. I might play some Call of Duty 4 or something, maybe loop again.

Not much else is new. I'm looking to get more work, whether it be at the University or consulting, but I think I might have to pick one or the other, and real soon. I've thought about doing a lot of things lately, such as returning to Wentworth, going to Japan, going into the Army or possibly the Airforce...I really have no idea...I might even sell my horse haha, I really don't know!

One thing I do know is that I am hungry :D I think I shall have some lunch! Yum!

Boston - Part II

This weekend went by waaaay to fast! On Saturday Emilie and I went riding. Definitely had an awesome time, really got a good ride in. Around 10pm or so the main database server locked up and everything went down. Totally suckass, so I had to drive like 20 minutes to where the servers are located and had to manually reboot it to find out the boot system RAID set had become degraded. No idea how it happened, but the rebuild only took 2 hours which wasn't too bad. The last time that happened to me, it happened on a 500GB set and took like 12 hours to rebuild lol. I do apologize about that! [info]emilie actually came with me to keep me company, we finally got home around 12am haha

Sunday, not much happened, I've been playing as much Star Fox Adventures as I can, pretty fun game. I am ~20% done...worked at the barn and then went to my parents for dinner. Had an awesome dinner...I got a bunch of new movies and some new anime too (picked it up off the server while there).

Today I went back down to Boston with Keith. He had a second interview with Apple, he said it went very well, so that's awesome. We hit up Fire & Ice and the way back. Had some amazing food as usual. I highly recommend anyone who lives in Boston or visiting Boston to go there, you will love it! Really good price too, a lot better then I thought it was going to be.

I snagged an iPhone 3G, and it's quite nice. [info]emilie got my old 8GB iPhone.

Tomorrow I've got consulting down south, so that'll be nice, of course I doubt it'll be nice weather, oh well. I think I might go riding tomorrow too. I got paid from the appointment at Yellow Steel in NH, yay!

I believe that's all the news I've got for right now! :) OH, Emilie and I saw Ex Machina, AWESOME!!!

New Miyazaki Film?

I knew that Miyazaki had been working on a new film although I'd heard that Howl's Moving Castle was his last (thank god it's not!). Here's a trailer for it! Definitely looks awesome, I can't wait to see it.

I've been pretty busy lately, consulting and working at the barn. I suppose I should actually go and do that now before the weather turns to complete ass.

Been watching a bunch of Doug and Rocko's Modern Life. I beat Grand Theft Auto IV, definitely a fun game, the first GTA I've beaten although I am trying to beat III on my PSP. I broke out Final Fantasy III also, finally got through that Nepto's Dungeon area. A good game!

I've got a bunch of consulting appointments scheduled between this week and next. I've got to call Keith and see if he got the Apple job.

Not much else to say at the moment, I just want to go to the barn and do some work and see the horses, so I'll write later!

Fog-Free!!

I believe I mentioned in my last post that I've gotten most of my new multicam and other gear. I was going to post some pictures but my camera is pretty much useless without the flash and I am not taking everything outside. I've got to buy a new camera, unfortunately, I don't really have $200 for a new camera at the moment. I would love to get my hands on a new Rebel XT or the XTi or that new one, I can't remember the name. Anyways, the rest of my stuff should be coming in the next few hours...

Yesterday I was consulting in Montpelier, relatively short. Unfortunately for the customer it looks like he's got a bad power supply unit. After that I went out and got lunch with Emilie. We had some really good pizza from this place I've not been too happy with. I guess they're okay with slices and stuff, but sitting down in the more restaurant-like area was pretty much a nightmare. After lunch I dropped her back off at work and I went and worked the barn. The kitties are dwindling, not sure what happened to them. I just assume they've been given away. There's only 2 left now, a female and a male. The other original mommy kitty is pregnant, so they're going to have more kitties.

Watched Hellboy and Beowulf yesterday. I had been hesitant about watching Beowulf, not sure why, I thought it'd be really lame, but it wasn't that bad. I actually like that golden dragon at the end there. The animation was really amazing too, well done. I mean it definitely looked animated in some spots but in others it was just amazing. I had pretty much forgotten about what happened in Hellboy, so that's why I watched it. Definitely an awesome movie. I hadn't realized Liz was in that movie either. I definitely enjoyed the creatures in Hellboy II a lot more though, a lot weirder!

Did some consulting calls and emails this morning, also took a shower, still haven't had breakfast although by this time, I think it's lunch.

I did watch this G4 show on GameTrailers, mostly of Gears of War 2 stuff. Wicked awesome though. Don't call Cliff Blezinski, Cliffy B. though, he'll kick you in the balls :) Good waste of 20 minutes haha I can't wait for the game. This week is E3, so there's going to be a lot of cool games and announcements coming.

Tomorrow is my good friend Greg's birthday. He's the guy I play airsoft with. Tomorrow we're probably going to meet-up in New Hampshire at this gun range and we're probably be shooting MP5s, UMPs, M16s, AK47s, etc...it's definitely going to be fun. I am not sure I'll have time to get him a present, but I'll be going down to his place at the end of the month for another OP so I'll see if I can get him something by then. I just barely got my sister a present and her birthday is in April...lol.

I've got a consulting appointment this afternoon, in about an hour. I've got to find something for lunch (we have no food in this place...)...and then the afternoon is mine.

I finally bought Howl's Moving Castle on DVD. Now I just need Miyazaki's other films, I think Spirited Away will be my next one, then maybe Castle in the Sky.

I'll be posting again maybe today with some pictures of the horses. I took em yesterday, I just need to touch them up in iPhoto and Pixelmator.

GTAIV & Vets

I've been semi-busy the last couple of days, hence no real updates. At one point the main database server for Scribbld went funky and the OpenDirectory service crapped out. Fortunately I don't have many real OD users so it was pretty easy to get that back up and running. I think I'll be making backups every so often of that because it's really lame that it just lost all that data, quite suck-ass in-fact.

I hung out with Greg on Friday, we just went to the Army Navy store, Ming Moon, and a couple of gun shops. Parro's has the best stuff, the assault rifles (real steel) were like $800-$1300 which isn't too bad really. I never found the little med kit that Greg has, maybe I will have to look online for it.

This weekend [info]emilie and I took care of my parents house. I've been playing a bunch of GTAIV, it's a lot of fun, Greg seemed to like it a lot too.

Watching Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and some Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad too. Episode 6 I think it was pretty much put me to sleep, the end was so crap.

We did go and see WALL-E, I absolutely loved it. I plan on going at least once more to see if I can find the pizza planet truck and the other things.

Had a vet appointment for my horse today. They gave him some drugs to "calm" him, within about 30-45 seconds he was almost asleep haha He was out pretty good which was nice, he was done with his shots, teeth, and cleaning in about 15 minutes. The whole thing cost about $100 less then I thought it would so that's really nice.

Emilie and I watched The Two Towers this evening and an episode of Beck. This episode was much better then the last, a bit more funny.

Tomorrow and Wednesday I have consulting appointments, it should be good stuff, relatively easy. That reminds me I need to email Wednesdays appointment to see where they're located. Eeeh I keep getting side tracked...

So yeah, I think it's time to call it a night, maybe I'll surf the web a bit or read some Anime Insider. Have a lovely night all!

OP: Reunion Complete

Yesterday, we woke up around 8am and got a few things done around the house. Then [info]emilie and I went over to Greg's house (well his parents house). Greg and I scouted around in the woods, and we're quite happy with it all. Lots of places to hide and stuff. We could definitely have made some bases and stuff, but we left it as-is for the moment. So we hung out and waited for some more people to arrive, finally his brother got there and then one of our old high school buddies came. So we did a little 2 on 2. It was definitely a lot of fun. The first game, we basically won pretty quickly. Then second game was a bit longer cause we did it in the woods, and I was up on this big tree that had fallen over and I finally killed Connor.

After game 2 we got some lunch which was awesome. Then we played a couple free for all games which was definitely fun, until I got shot in the neck haha I think there's still a little red mark haha Then another old high school buddy showed up and we got in another couple games before it started thundering and down pouring like crazy!

Today, Emilie and I watched an episode of BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad. I definitely enjoy that anime, kind of funny :) I did take a nap, so there's a possibility of me being up quite late tonight haha but that's okay because I got my hands on every single Dirty Jobs episode, Dinotopia and the most important thing, the Spore Creature Creator!! I am going to have so much fun with that tonight, of course I first need to re-install Mac OS X Leopard Server on the Xserve, then I might do Mobile home directories, but we'll see.

Anyways, I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend, I know it's not over yet, so go have so more fun!!

Another Layout Change!

The main reason I changed my layout again was because I just wanted to have my comments in the layout of the journal, I think it looks a lot better now, although I really liked how the other style had the tags in a cloud? Is this still possible, I am using Smooth Sailing, I really like tag clouds, not in a list like this.

I will be adding a header image in when I get the time to make one, I am debating on whether or not to do horse related or Final Fantasy related...or anime...I dunno...

I worked on some more Crisis Core missions yesterday. I'm really getting through a lot of them. I am going to do them until they all say Very Hard, then I will continue working on the main story. It's such a fun game :) I can't believe I'm able to take down enemies with 50,000HP. Crazy. Although there is some materia out there that I should have, and it does 9999 damage per hit...I must find it.

Had some consulting yesterday, pretty simple stuff. Although things did get crazy after I'd gotten back and some how their accounting database had gotten corrupted and I had to work an additional 2 hours, but I think I solved the issue, mostly because they haven't called back to say it's not working (and it's 11:30am now). Today I have a single consulting appointment in Williston, should be simple. SuperDrive & RAM install. As long as it's not a 12" PowerBook I am going to be okay :)

Then I am not sure what I'm going to do the rest of the day, maybe I'll be able to put down Crisis Core and work on some Resident Evil. I'm probably half way through the game now. I am going back into the mansion after fighting some crazy killer sharks.

I got my Apple Product Professional certifications in the mail, so I am good through December 31, 2009. Phew.

I am hoping my stuff from NewEgg, ModSupply and CodeJunkies comes in soon, I am so anxious! I can't wait to try it all out. I do have one question if you see this [info]confining, can I still play all my legal games? I really hope so and I wouldn't see why not, but it's best to make sure :)

[info]emilie and I are close to being done with Azumanga Diaoh, I think we have like 4-5 episodes left. For some reason I'm really starting to get annoyed with Tomo...oh well...I dunno what series we're going to watch next, we have so many to choose from. I am thinking Death Note since it's supposed to be awesome.

I got my first issue of Anime Insider, I am barely through the issue I bought more then I month ago, and so I've got 2 new issues to read, it's great!

Well I best be going, I have to get some gas before I head up to the consulting appointment. Have a nice day everyone!

Zack & Aerith

Had a bit of consulting yesterday, but that's about it. I did work on a couple websites and then did a couple other things I've been meaning to do for a while.

Today I did a bit of consulting, mostly through email but I did go to one place which was really close to where I live. Just troubleshot a printing issue. Fixed it though, going back their on Monday to do a RAM install. Should be good, keeps me busy.

Besides that there's something very important that needs to be taken care of. I went to ride my horse this morning and I noticed how terribly overweight he is. It seriously took like 5 minutes to get on the girth (the thing that goes under his belly and keeps the saddle on) because he's so tubby. So I'll be working with him a lot more to get him & myself back into shape. I promise not to leave Scribbld hanging but unfortunately he's a lot more important then this website. You shouldn't notice any difference but I'll be donating more time to his cause. We did go for a short ride today up the hill until we reached a point where he got a bit spooky and we turned around. It was a good ride considering I've not ridden since like December or something ridiculous. So yeah, that and getting my Apple certifications are my big projects right now...

[info]emilie and I are going to swimming tonight. It's going to be fun, the pool is always really warm. The weather is miserable but I think that'll be fun. Then we'll have a nice dinner, and watch a movie tonight. So glad it's the weekend too.

I got a $400 bonus from Small Dog which is wonderful, I definitely needed that, going to put $100 towards the credit card along with the $1600 I made from the sale of my MacBook Air and then using my tax refund and that should pretty much cover the Xserve and the crappy Windows laptop I had to buy for doing subtitles. And the other $300 I will use for spring shots for the horse.

I order this Nintendo DS flash card this afternoon, it was like $40 shipping for a little device that weighs less then 1lb. Haha I also got a 4GB MicroSD card. I also picked up a couple Nintendo DS ROMs, you know just to make sure the device works...I'd love to mod or get a modded PSP...but it's expensive, depends on how much I can bring in with this new job.

[info]emilie and I have been continuing to work on watching Azumanga Diaoh. She says it's growing on her which is great cause it's definitely funny.

I beat some more Crisis Core this afternoon. It's such a good game. I haven't really found a need for the guide to often, but it has some really good tips in it which is nice. I really love the story. I just met up with Aerith. According to the guide, I am about half way through the game, so that's cool.

Well I'm off to watch a movie or something, study some Japanese or something. Take care all :)

Chobits, Maple Story and F.E.A.R

We're on our short little vacation now. I had today and tomorrow off. I won't complain one bit cause it's really nice to have any time off from work. Today I woke up around 9AM, got to sleep in a bit.

I played through most of FEAR in the morning and until about 12. I got to like chapter 8. It's a really good game. I wasn't one for how they used the burst fire more in the guns, but after I got used to it, it was okay. They had some really cool weapons in the game. One of them vaporized people into dust which was awesome. There was also a grenade launcher-like gun and a rocket launcher. The story also got more interesting as I went along, the ending was really interesting and it definitely makes me want to play the expansion pack. I actually tried to install it but it gave me some error. I think I might end up reading about it on Wikipedia instead. It'll take less time, and I have so many video games in queue that need to be played that it might be better choice.

After that, I had a shower and got ready to go to my parents. We got there and had a pretty good time. Lots of good food and stuff. My younger cousins have stepped into the world of video games. They both have Nintendo DS.

Tonight I finished up FEAR. I already talked about what I thought of it a few paragraphs up...I started in on this MMORPG I had been wanting to try for some time. It's Maple Story. I did take a few screenshots while in game. It's a pretty fun game. It's like the 3rd-4th MMORPG I've played. It's definitely different then World of Warcraft but pretty similar to Ragnarok. I do enjoy types, I just wish I had started in on them when they first started up so that I could better understand it all...I guess I just have to play it a lot more. I am a level 7 or 8 now so I have a better grasp of how the games works and stuff.

So I got a lot more anime episodes, I downloaded Death Note, Ah! My Goddess and I am getting Ai Yori Aoshi right now. Poor little Mac mini is burning up on video conversions haha [info]emilie and I are watching some more Chobits right now. I absolutely love it. very funny stuff. Quite interesting too.

Tomorrow I've got to get Emilie to work after we drop her car off at work, after that I might go for a ride since it'll be on the way back from dropping her off. Then I'll probably work on Maple Story some more, or I will start Resident Evil for Gamecube. I've actually never played through the game. I remember my grade-school "girlfriends" Dad playing through it and I got to watch various parts, but I've never really played it myself.

Okie, I think I've said enough for one night, time to focus on Chobits!

Chobits

On Saturday we had that lovely VHSA banquet. It was a lot of fun. There was this one guy, probably 70+ years old, and he took home like 4-5 awards. I really hope that when I am that age I will still be riding horses and hell maybe even winning some awards! It would be a lot of fun. Overall, it was a lot of fun!

Sunday, [info]emilie and I spent cleaning the apartment. We're trying to make the computer room/mission control more like a living room. I did move the Cisco switch, the Airport and the modem into another room. We added some nice chairs so that at least we'll enjoy watching TV shows and movies there. I think eventually we'd like to get a futon for there, but who knows.

We got to the barn a bit later then usual, but it was okay. One of the little kitties was playing with Doc's tail and Doc kicked and the kitty went flying, a bit funny! The kitties are so funny. A lot like out Kitty. Emilie wants to get one, but who knows if that will happen. Cleaning was the same...messy messy messy!!

I finally got to dive into my NewType magazine which I really do like. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. It's packed with loads of good info though. It finally got me to watch some Chobits, they were running an interview article with CLAMP. So Emilie and I watch an episode of Chobits, and I think we really like it. It's a lot different then I thought it would be. Definitely in a good way though. It's funny!

Today, I am actually at work right now, but I've been doing work all afternoon that I thought I could use the break. I bought an apple pie from this pre-school (some fundraiser) and they just brought it to me today. It's really good, although quite cold. I am sure it'll be great after I put some in the microwave or something.

I have Windows Server Admin class tonight, that should be pretty simple. I just have to find out which homework assignments I am missing and then get them done. I also have to work on this paper for my class SEI (lamest class ever).

I finished up my PHP script that will compress my mail backups made by mailbfr. I just have to do some other PHP/MySQL programming for the class, but I think it should be relatively easy.

I can't wait to watch some more Chobits tonight. I think this is all I have time t write for now :)
