Name:Jayani 'Jaya' Chandra Lahiri Age: 27 Occupation: High school Teacher Sexuality: Heterosexual Power: X-ray Vision
Personality Positive Traits: Sweet, ambitious, driven, charming, friendly, responsible, intelligent, compassionate, analytical, motivated, Negative Traits: a little self-centered, overly competitive, oblivious, doesn't know when to stop, perfectionist, naive Strengths: Sports, public speaking, art, memorization, open to everything, non-judgemental Weaknesses: Can't back down from a challenge, not gifted with writing, leadership, creativity, decision-making Brief Summary: Jaya is good at a lot of things, it's just the way she is. She has a natural aptitude for things, and is a very quick learner. It doesn't mean she's the best at the things she tries, but if she works hard enough, her ambitious nature will ensure that she is. She's not someone who is obsessed with accolades, it's actually just that she's very open and loves to try new things. She'll try anything once. And so she does everything, demands herself to succeed in it, and does. It comes with a competitive and driven nature, and Jaya expects nothing less of herself. If she fails at what she tries, its upsetting, but her motto is to get back on the horse and try again. She's a sweet girl usually, friendly and cheerful, but the second a challenge is presented to her she turns into a competitive, loud, fiery thing, that comes as a shock to most people. Even still, as a perfectionist with her drive, she's very hard on herself, and sometimes is oblivious to other things. It doesn't make her a very good listener if she's in her competitive mode, and sometimes she needs to be shaken and told that thing exist outside of goals. She'll always be known as the intelligent, successful, responsible elder Lahiri sibling, and unfortunately that casts a shadow over Nick. She doesn't realize it annoys him so much, because she's not doing it intentionally or maliciously.
Jaya is a very friendly and loyal person, but she's not so great at things that don't involve some goal being attained. She's a great friend, but not so great at relationships, as she's competitive, and very oblivious to how the other person is feeling. She's not deliberately inattentive, she just isn't a very empathetic person. She's always concerned about another person, but doesn't have the ability to understand how their feeling. People just need to remind her from time to time and she'll be as diligent as possible, almost overly so with her brother in most cases.
