Secrets of the Lantern
There are many things about the Fairy Lantern Cian possess that he does not know about since he has never actually had real training with it or had it's powers explained to him. Though this is partly because even Liam did not know all of the lantern's secrets like Daniel did.
The Lantern was a gift to Daniel for the Fae Queen Maeve for being a great friend to the Fae which is also why he hardly ever had to do any work on his farm.
The Lantern's power is charged by the passing of the day being at it mystical greatest at midnight and at it's weakest at Noon. Though it does not really effect the basic powerset of the lantern it does effect the more powerful mystical abilities that the Lantern possess.
The Lantern is capable of teleporting others and thing away from it with a mystical blast though Cian does not know how to do this or that it could be done just that he can use the lantern to teleport himself and others.
The Lantern is capable of opening of fairy mounds and binding dark fae within the lantern till the fae queen can decide what she wants to do with them even fae as powerful as Balor.
The wielder of the lantern through great focus control the lantern from a distance causing it to move around and be called back to him.
The Lantern can be thrown to cause a large explosive magical effect.
The Lantern can also be used to counter magic and undue spell though it does take some work and training to truly master this skill.
