THE INTERIOR where everything was fresh as the bright blue sky
FIRST IMPRESSION: You can definitely tell that Ingrid is a Gryffindor from first meeting. Bubbly, playful, and sometimes quite loud, her personality is the kind that just makes you happy to be around, and is one that leaves her face difficult to forget. IN DEPTH: Ingrid's personality should probably come with a warning label to keep away the weak-hearted and meek. Her loud, vivacious, spontaneous way of conducting herself is often overwhelming for those who aren't prepared to keep up with her. With a seemingly endless supply of energy, she can go on for a long time with her personal volume blasting and wear out anyone and everyone around her ten times over before finally falling to the floor herself. There are two kinds of people--those who love her for this, and those who hate her for it. You'd had just better figure out which one you are beforehand, because once you're in with Ingrid, you're for a good, long while. It comes as no surprise to anyone who knows her that Ingrid is a Gryffindor. She posesses many of the typical characteristics of the red and gold, most notably her tendency to do things without thinking. She's very much a girl governed by her own heart, and a girl who does what she wants no matter what anyone else says. After facing some unpleasant consequences for this several (hundred) times in a row, Ingrid tried to change that aspect of herself, but despite her most conscious efforts she continues to be very prone to this. Rashness, and her signature hot temper, are her most crippling vices, but two things that prove to be difficult to control. Despite her vices, however, Ingrid does have her own set of redeeming qualities. Those who don't tire of her energy and optimism find it invigorating and a pleasant presence in their lives. She also has a good moral core thanks to her strict and proper upbringing, and has a very distinct sense of what is right and wrong. Ingrid believes strongly in taking your mistakes and learning from them instead of trying to forget about them, no matter how difficult living with them may be. This can be a hard rule to follow for her, because Ingrid personally has a very long history of making big mistakes in her life, making it a testament to her determination that she hasn't just given up and taken the easy road yet. LIKES: Quidditch, having a good time, Greta, Christian, gummy bears and ice cream, red and gold, Go Go Gryffindor!, making fun of Ravenclaws, singing out loud, sleeping in, running around in the rain, giving Christian heart attacks, Chelsea football, riding horses, going swimming, skinny dipping (even better!), and firewhiskey. DISLIKES: You-Know-Who, stupid little bitches, stupid little bitches kissing my boyfriend, stupid little bitches telling secrets, stupid little bitches like Ashlyn Cooper, being enormous, Slytherins, prejudice, working a menial job, studying, Ravenclaws who think they know it all, making plans, and organization. ALIGNMENT: Anti-Voldemort PATRONUS: Horse BOGGART: Losing Greta, whether it be in an emotional or physical capacity. Losing her twin sister would be much like losing a part of herself. FAMILIAR: n/a

THE EXTERIOR now and then when i see her face
HEIGHT: 5'7" WEIGHT: 116 lbs HAIR: Blonde EYES: Blue DEFINING FEATURES: It's pretty difficult to have defining features when you're a twin, but after Greta had the brilliant idea of dying her hair brunette, Ingrid's blonde hair has been her most telling attribute. MANNER OF DRESS: Ingrid style of dress tends to be a throwback to the going-out hippieish style of the 1960's. She likes peasant skirts and bright colors and airy materials, and she will have her jeans distressed and torn, thank you. A stark contrast with the sort of clothes that her mother dressed her in every Sunday for church as a child, Ingrid dresses much more freestyle. She's got a large collection of band t-shirts in her closet and likes to mix and match things without much real interest in what makes sense together---as long as it looks good, she's satisfied.

| THE LIFE AND TIMES and if i stare too long i'd probably break down and cry
BIRTHPLACE: Chelsea, England CURRENT RESIDENCE: London, England SOCIAL STATUS: Lower class. Ingrid comes from a moderately wealthy family, but living alone she and Christian make a very meager living for themselves; just enough to survive on, most days. HISTORY: It was a warm afternoon in the town of Chelsea, England when Ingrid Heather Annika Catchlove, crazy names and all, made her screaming debut into the world, a mere six minutes before her twin sister, Greta (Dahlia Liesbeth, that is). It was May 2, 1961, and parents Henrich and Marian had just doubled their brood, and tripled their trouble. Greta and Ingrid joined big brother and sister Frederick (Briar Xander) and Stefana (Gardenia Willemina), but after sharing a womb together, it almost seemed as if the two could have cared less about having other children in the house. For much of their childhood, the twins were nearly connected at the hip, despite their slightly conflicting personalities. The girls were born into a life of moderate privelage, as well as a home ruled very strongly by religion and proper conduct. Henrich, a Muggleborn lawyer and the son of a preacher, very strongly believed in making sure that his children were always on their best behavior. He had a strict set of rules that everyone was required to follow, and was interested in maintaining a sense of order in a household which had otherwise become child-filled, crazy, and chaotic. Marian, who stayed home with the four Catchlove children during the day, was like-minded, but a deal more lenient than her husband. Whether it was sneaking them sweets before dinnertime, or allowing them to built forts under the dining room table, she was more willing to allow the kids to be kids--as long as they didn't act up, which none of them would have dreamed of. If crossed, the punishments that their mother could give out were often worse than those that came from their father. As Ingrid got older, she began to grow closer to her older brother. In a house where Stefana, Greta, and their parents were the generally calm and composed types of people, spazzy Frederick and Ingrid banded together and bonded despite their age difference. It was devastating for Ingrid when Frederick was discovered to be a Squib; after learning that he would not be allowed to go to Hogwarts with her, she spent several years insisting that she would not go either. But her mind was changed--as they all knew it would be--upon receiving her own letter in unison with Greta's, and Ingrid did finally decide to go off to learn witchcraft at age 11. It was no wonder to anyone when the young girl was sorted into Gryffindor, her stubbornness and loud personality being her most defining features. She made fast friends with the other girls in her dorm, and soon the five of them were a tight and exclusive circle which would stay strong for all seven years of Hogwarts. Ingrid wasn't afraid to venture out of that circle, however, and quickly became involved in many of the activities that Hogwarts had to offer, including joining the Feminist Club and making the spot of Chaser for the Gryffindor quidditch team in her third year. Despite not having Frederick around, Ingrid was enjoying Hogwarts and all it had to offer to its very fullest; that was, until she found something that she wanted that couldn't be found inside its' hallowed walls. In December of 1978, Ingrid's seventh year, she met a man by the name of Christian Entwhistle on a trip to Hogsmeade. Christian, a graduated Ravenclaw a good deal older than she was, caught her eye in Honeydukes' and changed her life forever. More than knowing that her parents wouldn't approve of her dating a man five years her senior, Ingrid decided to keep her relationship with Christian a secret to all her family but Greta. She saw him on holidays and pined over him when she was stuck at school, which proved to make the last half of her seventh year nearly unbearable. Still, she kept telling herself that when she turned 18 and left Hogwarts, she'd be able to tell her parents about him and see him all the time; she could keep it a secret until then, right? Wrong. If there was anything Ingrid never expected out of her relationship with Christian, it was getting pregnant at 17. It was March of 1979, a good four months before she would graduate, and she was going to have a baby by a man that her parents didn't even know existed. Ingrid barely pulled off covering up her pregnancy until she was out of school (to her parents; that did not include the Hogwarts population, who all knew the scandal by then). However, it would not have mattered if she had told them a million years in advance--Henrich and Marian were still shocked and angered by their daughter's stupidity and her boyfriend's indiscretion. Ingrid was given an ultimatum: cut Christian out of her life, or give up any hope of help from her parents. Despite everyone telling her not to, she chose the latter and very suddenly was pushed out into the world of adulthood, completely unprepared. Living with Christian is not proving to be easy. As much as she loves him, Ravenclaws and Gryffindors are simply just not compatible personality-wise, and this is a cause for frequent arguments about how the other does things or conducts themself. Add on top of that the hormones of a pregnant girl, inhibitions of two very inexperienced parents-to-be, and their constant financial troubles, life within their little flat has not cut them any breaks. But they are determined to make things work, and Ingrid is even more determined to show her parents that she can be mature and take responsibility for her mistakes, and grow from them.
