Football is over but there's a new sport back in town
He'd done it. He'd finally gotten tickets to a baseball game. It had taken some saving up, and some luck finding them online (and rather last minute) but he found them. And on the first game of the regular season too! He fully expected that the tickets he eventually got would be for some later date but the opportunity arose and he wasn't going to let it slip by. Birthday luck coming early, that's what he'd put it down to.

Grinning like an idiot and still excited over his luck, he managed to not stutter and ask Jess if she wanted to come to see Coast City's first home game of the season. The seats may not be great but that didn't matter really. Harry was certainly in a good mood.

	He sits up in his seat to see better, he'd never actually been to a baseball game like this before. Even better was that it was with her. 	He doesn't know the players on this team so he listens closely to her comments, cheers and just generally enjoys the whole experience. Yes, these tickets were definitely worth it. The cherry on top was that Coast City was winning. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He's a little surprised when she does that but it doesn't have him as blushing as he would've been months ago. Instead he manages to give her hand a squeeze back as the game continues. 	Harry almost misses the hit because he's watching her in her adorable fangirl moment. But he turns just in time to see the batter get hit and start swearing just as the home team's fans all begin booing. Well as long as this didn't turn into anything it'd be okay. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He knew there'd be a price to pay for all that good luck before. He just knew it. And here it was, he was sitting, frozen in place, as everyone, players and fans, started fighting. Of all the things...why did all this fighting always happen around him? Why could he never avoid it and why couldn't people just stop?

Sitting very stiffly he manages to slowly nod once he hears Jess's question. No need to have her worry about him, he'll just try to stay in place and not run. Breath steadily and most definitely not run. Disappearing wouldn't be a good idea, he tells himself.

	"I-It's okay," he manages to get out. "We came to watch the game and...and everyone will stop fighting and..." He's looking at his feet and breathing very steadily. 	She slides closer to him to rub his back. She is very worried about him. The fight is very loud and she doesn't know what to do. Cops though are starting to break things up. People are getting removed and more than one player is made to sit down. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He tries to block out the sounds of the fighting as best he can but it's hard. He appreciates her help and does relax a little but he doesn't want her worried about him. People shouldn't worry about him, he insists, he should help them if he can, he could manage on his own. Harry looks up to give her a nervous smile, and tries to focus on Jess to drown the rest out.

"Think...think the game will continue?" He tries to ask in the most relaxed manner he can. He can tell she's worried about him and he really doesn't want that at all.

	This time he puts his hand over hers, partially to reassure her despite how frozen he still is. "We can go to the sportsbar after if you'd like? I don't know about many around here," he admits. 	While they wait for the announcement to declare that the game will be continued or cancelled, Harry lets himself rest his head against hers on his shoulder and try to relax. Having her there helped quite a bit. If he was on his own he might have done a panicked teleport away. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
