One of the smallest regulars squeezes into line and rests his chin against the counter while drumming his fingers on it as he waits for his turn. Every time he came he seemed to have a different slightly-too-big hat on, clearly borrowed. Today's was a newsboy cap that he had to push back and prevent from falling in front of his eyes.
