Car Trouble
Due to her parents and boot camp, Frances had an impressive repertoire of vulgarity at her disposal and every variation possible was drifting from the hazy, popped-up hood of her Mustang off the side of the road. This was the last time she was letting anyone borrow the Stang during their shore leave, she swore to herself while waiting for things to cool off enough to start poking around. Normally the Stang had no problem with 90mph, but this time, smoke/steam had started creeping out before she got to 80. Let's hope I'm not to cars what Dad is to Skycycles, or this is gonna suck.

She'll get a surprised look from her passenger. Griffin doesn't drive cars usually but he knows things about them. He also knows that swearing like that means they had trouble.

"So what's wrong?"

She tried to look possibly contrite over the language when his eyebrows went up. "Just putting the fear of me into the car, to be more cooperative," she assured and started trying to unscrew a cap with her jacket sleeve. "Nothing's on fire, which is a plus."

"Okay," he says plainly.

"At least it's not magic. We'd have to call someone. I can do tech, not magic." He climbs out to go peer at the car.

Oh like the techy types didn't threaten their creations into obedience. She does look in sudden suspicion of there being elves or fairies messing with the engine block. In their life, it's a valid point. "As long as you keep her a car, please," she snickered and stepped out of the way for him.

"I swear I won't give her an AI," he says with a slight smirk.

He rolls up his sleeves and since his gauntlets are on right now he has no problem touching things while they're hot. He's checking the fluids first.

"Too kind, good sir." She bows and snickers. While he fiddles with fluids and starts his diagnosis, she pops the back to fish out the emergency kit. Doubting he needs a silencer or MREs to fix the Stang, she unloads a little and drags over to the front for him. "It doesn't have that slagged smell, so I'm hoping it's not dire."
