Player (nickname, handle)/ LJ: Dylan Email: on-file AIM (if you have one): see above Character Name: Stephanie “Stevie” Barton (Hot Rod) Character LJ (if applicable): Physical description (face, build, weight): Stevie has medium length blonde hair, blue eyes, and an athletic build. Age: 18 Birthday: December 18 PB: Emily Senko Abilities: Stevie wears a helmet, gauntlets, a torso piece, and boots similarly designed along the lines of other armor users, over a metal-fabric bodysuit, all designed to manipulate acceleration via a repulsor field. While wearing the suit, she can move at super-human speeds sub-sonic levels) (cybernetics compensating for reaction times), repulsor technology essentially letting her “skate” along the ground or along any other surface. The repulsor field can be directed outward for offensive purposes, enhances strength (five ton level) and also provides some force field protection. Stevie also has some measure of combat training and is a skilled driver and auto-mechanic. Weaknesses and flaws: Outside of her suit, Stevie is as vulnerable as any normal human. She also has almost no idea how any of the technology she uses works or how to repair it. Her gear is, of course, limited by its power supply. Character location/Home: Avengers Mansion, New York City Alignment (villain, hero etc): Hero Relatives (living/dead?): Clint Barton (father), Antonia Stark (mother), Steve Barton (other dimensional brother), Anya Stark (other dimensional sister) Backstory: Though they originally met as enemies (in the universe that also gave us Rose Logan, among others), Clint Barton (Hawkeye) and Antonia Stark (the Iron Maiden), eventually developed feelings for each other during their mutual tenure on the Avengers together, which eventually led to a marriage which produced a daughter, named for mutual friend and teammate, Steve Rogers. Happiness, however, was not to last for the couple. Headstrong personalities would butt heads frequently throughout the relationship, some of which centered heavily around Stevie. Stevie was a clever girl, to be certain, but she was most definitely not the genius her mother was, nor did she show much ambition beyond fixing up and racing old cars, showing zero interest in becoming the head of Stark Industries. Toni’s pressure on Stevie, combined with Clint’s desire to let her do what she wanted with her life, eventually lead to the dissolution of the marriage when Stevie was fifteen. She opted to remain in custody of her father and saw her mother only as infrequently as the custody arrangement allowed. In school, Stevie was frequently insubordinate and in trouble, but did manage to scrape the grades by to graduate. Stevie eventually became one of the first Young Avengers, appropriating left over bits of Iron Maiden technology for her own use in the first mission, but in a rare show of swallowing her pride asked her mother to tailor-make weaponry that was more suited to her own skills. As a member of the Young Avengers, Stevie shared a strong friendship with the daughter of Captain America, and several flirtatious, friends with benefits relationships with several male Avengers. How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Stevie will be appearing in the conclusion to the Avenging Angel plot, appearing once Steve is out of the universe. What are you planning to do with this character? Stevie will at least stick around and be taking Steve’s slot on the team for the duration of the time he’s missing. She will (very likely) stay upon his eventual—but quite far off—return. What do you want to see happen with this character?: The typical alternate universe kid thing, interaction with her siblings, making Any and Steve decidedly uncomfortable eventually. Sample Post: According to the speedometer in her heads-up display, Stevie was going nearly eighty miles an hour. Practically crawling, compared to what she could go when she was flat out. But she wanted to keep pace with the bank robbers car, not leave it in the dust. Besides, any faster and she might do damage when she stopped it. Which was a real shame, since they were young and the one guy was kind of cute. Why were the cute ones always the bad boys? She slowed down just a little bit, to be near the driver’s side window and put her hand out, firing a small extension of her repulsor field to demolish it. “You wanna pull over or what? Not nice to make a girl chance you!”
