A lot of people have asked, so let me just say it here so everybody knows. Ginny wasn't on the train to Hogwarts today, she's in St. Mungo's. About two days ago, she came down with dragon pox, so she's in hospital now. She's okay, she's being cheeky with the healers, her mum is fawning all over her I can't believe I'm not there. In a few days, she'll be well enough to come to our infirmary. But until then she's down in London. I was wondering if anyone had any cards or gifts they'd like to send? The Headmistress is going to bring Ginny anything we send on Tuesday, so just let me know.

How pathetic am I that I miss her so much al

Private to Seamus
Hey mate, you're in for her at Chaser for a while. Up to it?

That woman clearly missed her calling as a Healer. And a cook. Well, who am I kidding, she does everything perfect. Clear where Ginny got it from, huh?

Yes! Exactly! Besides, after murdering the pillows at my house, I think it's time for you two to return to your roots and get after the ones here at Hogwarts again. I think they miss it. Welcome back, eh?

I agree, I'm coming up myself to hide, but I'm going to quick say hi. And get a hug.

I miss her, Nev. Am I nuts?

She could be the sort who'd succeed at multiple jobs. I forget what my Gran calls those types, but there's a fancy name for them. I just look at it as being talented. No question there!

Oh, did we harm them too much? Beyond repair? I was worried that it was getting a bit out of hand...but it was good fun. And kept my mind off I know I miss these springy, hard beds. Maybe just...a little bit.

Please do! Fantastic, I've been in here all day. Company is nice.

You and me can sit back and cheer those people on. And have a butterbeer. Oh, wait, you're one of those types of people. More butterbeer for me!

Oh, no, Kreacher fixed them up well: I have to say that watching you two go at it, I was scared out of my mind. That's why I was so busy "making a snack." I was really intimidated. You whip that pillow like you're taking names, mate! And it seemed like you needed it, after

I had to meet with McGonagall for a while about -things, or else I would have been up sooner. Let's hide together for a bit, yeah?

I reckon I've gotten good at cheering, thanks to Gryffindor's fantastic Quidditch playing. Well, I suppose a bit wouldn't hurt, yeah? Maybe?

Oh, good! I think we were afraid of hitting The Chosen One, so your ability of sneaking off to make a snack was wise. Or maybe Gin wasn't afraid, she'd give you a good whack. Really? Maybe it's...what do they call it? Pent-up aggression? Not that I really have any aggression. Did I tell you about...er...my Gran? I can't remember

Hiding from McGonagall sounds like a good way to spend the night!

Nev? I'm setting an entire case down in front of you. Maybe nothing!

Oh yes, for The Chosen One is so delicate - I was terrified of the wild look in Ginny's eyes, I knew I was toast around her, but you - you were just as bad as her. I think you two really are the most fearsome team that I've ever encountered. I think you two just egg each other on, that's my belief.

No. What about your Gran? Did something happen? Oh Go

But you have to stop me from drinking the entire case! It could be dangerous! Lots of danger.

Because we all know that if we touch your arm, it will fall off. I'm pretty sure people still believe that, actually. Harry and his withering body parts. Mental, that. Do you reckon Gin and I could beat you and Ron? Of course we do! That's how she gets fired up. Because she really needs more encouraging.

Well, er. Nothing bad. To her, rather. But I sort of...forgot to charm my bedroom locked once. And she- Linda- we- I fell off the bed...she...laughed.

You are danger, man!

Harry's Withering Body Parts is one of my favourite rumours, right up there with Harry's Eyes Melt Glass. Which - don't you think that would make wearing my specs a bit hard? Huh. Anyway, I think that any team that she is on is destined to glory, especially with you, since you just know the exact way to encourage her to maximum cheek and energy. What is your secret!

- are you shiting me!

Am I? Tell that to my Gran, please! Merlin, don't talk about her.

Mine, too! One would think. But apparently there are theories that claim your glasses aren't affected by it. I dunno, it's all rubbish. I'm glad they're starting to die down. If only it would die down faster. I must never tell my secret!

Er, no. I wish I were! I'm rubbish at remembering those little things. And I can't look at her. We were going to...or maybe we won't...I didn't want to...or maybe I did...but you and Gin...!

I've already called Hedwig over, she's off to owl your gran: 'Neville: Dangerman Personified." How can she disagree?

Is that how it works? Oh, that's fabulous. Ginny's favourite rumour is the one where I wasn't born of Lily and James Potter but instead, I leapt like Athena fully formed from Dumbledore's forehead. Quite mythic, I'm a fan of that one, except for the fact that I look just like my parents so it doesn't hold much water. I don't know if they'll die down: Skeeter's book is due out any week now, I'm sure she'll come up with something fascinating and totally rubbish for everyone to fixate on again. But come on, Neville, why can't I know! Don't you think it's beneficial for me to know how to best work Miss Weasley? Do you accept bribes?

I think that's something you'd want to do in the future, just for safety's sake. Look at your gran? Well, you could always use a mirror to catch glances at her until things die down?

Well...she may disagree, or she may owl you back with reasons why she thinks your brain may still be a bit clouded over.

I think that's how it works. Theoretically, of course. From Dumbledore's forehead? Haven't people often claimed that Professor Lupin...er...was your father? I thought I heard some witches whispering about that last summer! Apparently that means Professor Lupin looked just like your father, then, if you look so much like him. People are a bit...mental. I accept bribes...maybe. But I'm not going to tell you, because I must stay strong to Ginny!

I hid in my bedroom the entire holiday, Harry. Blimey.

Ah, your gran doesn't know, I am a very persuasive man! Except with the Healers at St. Mungo's who wouldn't let me see Ginny. Or Molly. Or McGonagall. Bloody hell!

Right! I forgot that one - Lupin is my father, and that makes me part werewolf, too? But because I'm such a powerful wizard, I'm able to keep that at bay, you know. It's okay to be impressed at my amazing mental werewolf suppressing powers. Ginny, bah. I'm the one who made us grilled cheese at 3am the night of the sleepover, what did she do for you! Well, other than be your best mate, blah blah, sigh.

Oh, Nev. Did you practically run for the train to escape her?

I've come to know the secrets of those Healers, Harry. If you need any tips, just let me know. I reckon if you know the secrets, you can go in and see whoever you want.

I knew something strange happened to you once a month, but I didn't want to say anything about it. It also makes sense that your hair is sometimes really, really long in the morning and you have to keep shaving it off...blimey, that's The cheese seemed good! Or was good, rather.

...I did run, actually. It wasn't too pretty.

I might. If I can get past McGonagall, I'm coming to you. Oi. I still gotta deal with her mum, though -

Hey! I thought my secret killer wolf side was just between us mates! That's it, I'm eating you next full moon. And I thought it was a quality cheese, despite the fact it was French. It was from Fleur. The gift of fine cheese: that says happy Christmas.

So that's why you were out of breath. And it all comes together.
