Am I contagious?

Disappearing acts have become somewhat common - too common for my liking.

Relief. I think that's about what I've felt a lot of lately. I don't even know why I'm sharing this with everyone, but there we go.

I'm going to tell them by the end of this month. Starting November, it'll definitely be Sakura's Year.

A chance to change--something.

The trip to see the Orchestra that's upcoming has had me go through the classical music again. I feel almost sorry I never allowed myself to finish learning Schubert's Serenata. Mother had insisted that I try out to be one of those genius piano kids, but it didn't work out so well. I'd been far more interested in climbing trees and reading books and watching the grass for some bugs in there.

I think I'd like to start over and learn it again, but from my own vollition, not theirs.

I don't know about the rest of you, but personally, I prefer to wear warm clothes in autumn. It's not that I lack spirit, I make up for it just about enough by hanging in my pajamas at home. And anyway, I doubt there's a superhero that's a doctor so...no costumes.

Tenten, thanks for the tea yesterday. I'll stick to aspirins too, now that I think about it. And pudding. Ino?

Fights. Birthday parties. Unwanted gifts in the mail. Phonecalls at 4am.

But we're not going to talk about that.

I have a job! In case...anyone was interested. I know many aren't. I don't care. This journal, we all have one for a purpose, so I intend to use it.

And it pays...more than the restaurant job paid, at least. I'm thinking of getting a weekend job, too. I need to sort out my monthly income, and how much I'd need to pay rent and eat...

...20 is a good age for emancipation. Oh yeah. This year will be Sakura's year.

Yes, it's a strange colour, and yes, it's a scientific oddity, but I don't need a whole hour of discussing it. In class. From all the genetical points of view. With emphasis on why it's odd. And I didn't need to hear that classmate's opinion--I'm not dying it, thank you and shut up.

God. And I need a job.

So, that was...fun. Lovely summer. Lovely, lovely way to spend the summer. I'm sorry I haven't been around, to whomever was concerned, but my parents packed and dragged me with them all the way to Hokkaido. One of mom's relatives has passed away.

I'd actually prefer to say that it was just the usual ceremony, and the mourning that followed, but...to be honest, it was being wittness to all my family, and Auntie's family's ability of fighting like birds of prey over an inheritance. So we have a bit of land in Hokkaido. It was definitely not worth the tension, hassle, arguements and the terrible things that were said. She doesn't even like Hokkaido. God, Mother.

This is why I can't be more happy about the new school year. There is something infinitely more comforting in the pages of a Biochemistry book, and at least the only humans I deal with in the labs are silent.

Huh. Go figure. You really do grow a bit wilder in the North.

Sure has been a while since we've used these things, hasn't it? I honestly thought they were going to excuse us from using them during summer vacation, but apparently, there are no excuses. Ah well.

So. July already. Summer flies by so fast. Well? Who's still here on vacation? I know I'm still working at the same restaurant—now with more shifts, since I don't have courses to run to—and training at the same club, but what about the rest?

Come on, don't be shy. It's so quiet here.
