The games we play
For some reason or another, there were mortals from the other teams at their home. Asleif wasn't entirely certain why. It had probably been brought up, likely by Sydney, but when mortals spoke, Asleif tended not to pay very much attention. They did not often have anything very important to say.

She poked idly at the fruit on her plate, and resisted the urge to glare or turn some of the more annoying ones into things. Like the Olympian, for example, who was loudly retelling (or possibly fabricating) some adventure of his in an attempt to chat up one of the women.

Not exactly here idea of a good time.

	"As thou wish," Asleif said. And then she simply seemed to explode into an unkindess of ravens, they flew about him for a moment, before settling across various perches around them. 	Piercing bird glares didn't seem to have any effect on the young mage. "As long as they could dodge I guess. Because if they were flying in a group and I shot a magic bolt, I could probably hit four at once," he pondered out loud. "So are you a giant? Is that why you and your family are so tall?" 	"Like superhero god Thor?" He didn't mention she didn't look much like Thor from the newspapers. And he'd never met Loki so he couldn't at least comment she looked like him. 	She nodded. "Thor art mine father," Asleif said. She gestured, a quick flick of the wrist, and instantly seemed to split into a circle of Asleif's, surrounding him. "Like this?" They spun around him, faster and faster, until the world seemed replaced by an alien dimension. Asleif herself was nowhere to be seen. "Or this?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He stood in the middle of the circle, his arms crossed and surveying her illusions, clearly someone used to the magic and weirdness with it. "Not the first one, those aren't anything really out of the ordinary, they're like Marlow's illusion selves, I've seen those a bunch of times." It didn't occur to him that she might not like being compared to a teammate she ignored, but Martin tended to use Marlow as a measuring stick for matters of illusions. Just because he didn't have the control to do them, didn't mean he didn't have an eye for them.

"I like your second one better. This is nice. What place is this one from? Or did you make it up?" He chattered pleasantly as he looked around out of interest.

	Well he didn't see why this lady didn't talk to Marlow more and ignored her. Her illusion selves weren't much different or more impressive. He looked up at the dragon casually and flicked a mystic bolt at it. "I like the dragon though, you should see Marlow's illusions, they're awesome." He couldn't exactly brag about his own illusions, he couldn't do them. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
