Yeah, that is a change he is really, really not liking. "They do not mind people bursting into flame, but swords cause disturbances?"
He takes a deep breath, trying to get his head around this - in a civilized age, swords were a sign of station and respect.
"And - money was not something that was given a great deal of attention. A lord, and whichever parent kept the home... and then the wife should be skilled in handling finances. That is... no longer the way of it?"
