"Really, Mom? We're not five anymore. We're not sixteen. We're twenty-three!" Alex protests, then stops. He takes a deep breath; he promised himself he wouldn't snap at his mother.
"Mom, if it was really not so important, why do you have everyone repeating the same lines like you're all reading off the same teleprompter?" Alex asks.
"You, Uncle Robbie and Aunt Rose. Uncle Tim, Uncle Max and Joey. Aunt Calypso, Aunt J'anna...everyone. Why is that Mera can know all about her dad and where she comes from, but youu 'can't tell us much more' about the guy who got you pregnant with us?" Alex asks.
"What are you so afraid of?"
