At Work
My kindergarten students are working on their computers doing math exercises. They should do this for about half an hour. And then I'll show them a film about how a seed becomes a plant. And then assign all of them to try to grow a lima bean plant. It's a science experiment common to most students in the younger elementary grades.
So I'm on my third chocolate croissant now and second strawberry-kiwi smoothie and drinking lots of FIJI water. Eating for 3 is hard work. Did I mention I'm pregnant with twins? A boy and a girl. We're naming them Emmaline and Michael after my husband, Michael Jon Susanno, and me, Emma Mcentyre Merrick. Both my mother and I have "Emma" names. Mine is Emma Ruth. Emma is German/English and means "Universal."
I am a trained Dentist and Orthodontist and I work for the Non-Profit Organization "Smile Train, Inc." The goal of the organization is to create beautiful smiles for young children adults, especially the ones with cleft palates. I've been doing this for nearly a decade now. It's very rewarding and beautiful to see a child smile for the very first time normally.
Tonight my husband and I are going to a black-tie gala fundraising event for UNICEF at the MET in NYC. Matt will be our limo driver and he'll be dressed in full livery attire. Our aim is to raise at least 1 Million dollars. Get your checkbooks out, folks.
And how about those Rangers? Go RANGERS! And how about the NETS? GO NETS. WOO HOO. It's so awesome.
Anyway, I'm going to check on how my students are doing. I can check from my computer on my desk.
Take care everyone.
Love and Light
