Snow White :
Name: Snow White
Story: Snow White and Rose Red. There will be touches from Snow White and parts of her story from the comic series Fables.
From the original story the bear turns into her prince (after he kills the dwarf in front of her and her sister) and marries her.
The prince's mother is now Snow's evil mother-in-law (instead of her step-mother from the other Snow White tale). The evil mother-in-law still gazes deeply into her mirror begging the question if she's the fairest of them all, until of course the mirror replies that she's not and that the fairest has just married her son.
The evil Queen makes several attempts on Snow's life, though her prince always manages to save her in the nick of time. Unfortunately, her prince is only so honorable. He will save her life every time, but he's also willing to sleep with her sister, Rose Red. Snow ends her marriage as a result, drifting through the world in a daze, looking for a prince that could live up to her ridiculous ideas.
Even after the kerfuffle of Rose sleeping with Snow's husband and ruining both of their marriages, Snow's ex-mother-in-law continues to try to kill her in new and inventive ways.
After one such attempt on her life Snow finally decides that she's had enough of this nonsense. She's decided to fight for her life and better yet, she's going to stop looking for "prince charming."
Age: 24
Gender/Preference: Female/Straight
Appearance: PB: Chanel Cole
She is quintessentially the pale skinned, dark haired, red lipped Snow White of all the tales. She's a bit plumper this time around; castles tend to have great buffets. She has a tiny bald spot she usually covers with careful hair placement from one of her mother-in-laws attempts to kill her with a poisoned comb. She likes to wear corsets, long skirts and clothing that will show off all of her best assets. She frequently wears flowers in her hair.
Personality: Snow is a vibrant woman, shocked out of the coma her life had become. Before the dissolution of her marriage she was obedient, quiet, and good hearted, a perfect reflection of the patriarchal image of femininity. She did what she was told when she was told and never questioned it.
She has since decided to shed these etchings, but she keeps a thin guise of being the good girl. She's decided that good girls seem to finish last and she's had enough of all of that. She's going to try out being bad for awhile and see if she likes it any better.
She has a deep sense of honor. Once upon a time she lived by this code of honor, but since it's been repeatedly violated by the people she's supposed to love and trust it's become warped. She finds it more difficult to trust new people now and her relationships never get as deep as they used to.
Strengths: Determined. Charming. A relatively good liar.
Weaknesses: Vengeful (she sometimes considers this a strength). Obedient (it was once something she considered a strength, but she sees it as the one weakness that has damaged her life beyond repair).
Quirks: Doesn't own a mirror. Once genuinely believed in "happy endings"
Secrets: At present her only secret is that she's not such a good girl.
Skills & Abilities: Very gifted at housekeeping.
Supernatural abilities: Rapid Regeneration. She hasn't figured it out yet, but with all the attempts on her life it's only a matter of time before she realizes she recovers quickly with little to no ill effect in the long run.
History: She was always the good girl, the obedient girl. Quiet and unobtrusive. She was the very image of a perfect little girl. She expected that being so would make her life a beautiful and perfect thing.
She lived in a cabin in the woods with her sister and saved a prince who had been turned into a bear. Later she married that prince despite her new mother-in-laws obvious distaste for the common girl.
She realized her mother-in-law was trying to kill her when the bitch stabbed her head with a poisoned comb. She didn't realize that the reason she survived it was her supreme talent, the ability to rapidly regenerate/heal.
Her husband however didn't believe her, couldn't believe that his mother would do such horrible things. Then the bastard slept with Snow's sister.
Snow's expectations for the perfect life went up in smoke. The constant interference of her evil mother-in-law and the philandering of her husband, the prince turned bear turned prince again. This was compounded by the fact that her sister seduced the prince in the first place. She resented her sister for ruining her marriage and while she was trained to be courteous and polite she finds that her civility fails her when her sister walks into a room.
After the dissolution of her marriage she ran into the woods, distraught, not trusting anyone. She came across a cabin with seven, gruff, little men who worked in the nearby Kingdom mines. They allowed her to live with them so long as she kept the house clean and cooked their meals.
The work was hard, the house was tiny and she didn't much enjoy her life at first. But the little men got under her skin. They were crude and filthy creatures, but they had a stark, honest way of living. She learned to appreciate their ribald humor and their wicked ways.
Eventually she tired of this life and with a bit of searching she learned about the existence of Haven. She took her leave of the dwarfs and settled into the city as if this is where she belonged from the start.
Anything else we should know: Nothing as yet.
