Flashback: The Disabled Duo beginnings
Of all the stupid...a boarding school for the weird kids is where he'd been sent. He had no illusions about it, none. Caused his parents enough trouble being deaf and lashing out about it. But when they found out about his little snapping power? They took the first opportunity they could to send him away with all the other little society misfits. At least now he wouldn't ever stand out as a mutant freak. Nope, now he was in his usual disabled kid schtick. Not much better really, you either got made fun of or pitied. Unless of course you lashed out a little, then they just stayed away, which was preferable.

Grumbling for the fiftieth time that day, Simon pulls his suitcase and bags along to the door of the place and knocks. He just wanted this all over with already.

	Oh he is not taking that. Sitting up, he doesn't bother going after her, Simon just snaps. The first explosion is in front of her to make her abruptly try and stop and the next smaller ones are under her feet, aiming to trip her up and have her fall. 	He might not be able to hear it but he's prepared for her retaliation and snaps a few times so the air between them is full of minor explosions, the soundwaves from them breaking up her pulse. 	Oh, he thinks so, does he? Well, let's see how he likes this. She focuses on the area around him, enveloping him in a cocoon of muted space, then blowing another kiss, letting the note hit him from behind as she releases the mute zone, instead of the front. When all sound disappears he instantly becomes suspicious. Sure his hearing was bad even with the hearing aids but it never got this silent. Well if her notes were sound pulses she could theoretically have them come from...oh shit.

He quickly starts snapping, making explosions to encircle him, luckily one mostly diverts her blue note but he does get grazed by it.

He smirks at her, "Well looks like you almost got me entirely there. You haven't won this battle or the war Ying! Unfortunately for you, you've found the yang that has the best chance of avoiding your skittle powers."

	Unbeknownst to him, she was currently sending a very light wave, one that could build up gradually. Yeah, he'd be feeling that right about now. "I hate to rain on your parade, Yang, but it's not over till the fat lady sings. 	He certainly was. Growling a little he starts the snapping again, this time not letting up but varying the sizes and timing. Thankfully it was lessening the effect, but of course not entirely getting rid of it. "Well you're the only one making noise here. And even I can tell that's some bad singing, lady." Well, considering she doesn't want a fifteen year old boy humping her leg, yeah, the note lessened. She'd just been making a point. All the snaps in the world couldn't stop her if she put her mind do it. Which made her curious about something. She concentrated on his hands, muting the sound around him. Would he still be able to snap his way out of things if he couldn't 'snap'? "Keep bad mouthing my perfect pitch and I'll throw green or brown at you."

He pulls the hearing aids out for the moment, because if she could manipulate sound they were useless to him anyway. Still snapping, when she takes away the sound the explosions continue. If she couldn't tell from the way he lit his cigarette before, it was now clear. The snapping was a way to control precisely the explosions, the sound itself didn't matter. But of course just the physical act of snapping still made sound waves that she'd continually need to take away. And it would take some of her concentration to keep it up.

Smirking, the next snaps cause explosions right under the soles of her shoes, and they're strong enough to lift her off the ground. Although he doubts this attempt at flipping her will do any damage.

She may not have been expecting that, but her sessions in the Danger Room had been honing her senses. At the first tremor below her, she was already arching into a backflip, turning the frequency of her blasts up to a more physical effect as opposed to an audiochemical one. He wanted to play, oooh... she'd play. Leaping towards him, she dodged and weaved her way over, the distortion of her echolocation actually assisting in locating the bangs as they happened.

Grinning she leaped up and used one to propel off of, flinging herself at him. "Bonzai!"
