Flashback: The Disabled Duo beginnings
Of all the stupid...a boarding school for the weird kids is where he'd been sent. He had no illusions about it, none. Caused his parents enough trouble being deaf and lashing out about it. But when they found out about his little snapping power? They took the first opportunity they could to send him away with all the other little society misfits. At least now he wouldn't ever stand out as a mutant freak. Nope, now he was in his usual disabled kid schtick. Not much better really, you either got made fun of or pitied. Unless of course you lashed out a little, then they just stayed away, which was preferable.

Grumbling for the fiftieth time that day, Simon pulls his suitcase and bags along to the door of the place and knocks. He just wanted this all over with already.

	"You just need to know where the weak points are and..." he snaps his fingers and there's a bang as an explosion happens in midair not far from them. "A whole building gives you lots of exploding. He taps his ear and grins. Nope, not hearing a word.

Dashing off, he takes a running jump, aiming for a rather high ledge. Once he's in the air he snaps his fingers twice to make explosions under his feet to propel him up and onto the ledge, out of her reach.

Putting the hearing aids back in he shoots a cheeky grin her way as he pulls out a cigarette. A brush of his fingers together and a tiny explosion lights it. "Maybe there is fun stuff to do around here."

He may think he's out of her reach...

Cartwheeling, she turns it into hand springs, using the last to vault her up onto the ledge, turning to push him onto his butt with a grin. "Just maybe there is..."

Looking at the cigarette, she rolls her eyes. "A little young for that, don't you think? Just make sure you dispose of the butts yourself, or they'll have your head."

He snaps a few times to create explosions that made cushions of air to soften the fall. He's had practice with his powers before being sent here.

"Fancy moves. Well now I know for next time, go higher." He picks up the fallen cigarette and lights it again, "Pfft, they say we're too young for a lot of things. But apparently not too young for people to hate on us. I don't see why it matters really." He blows a smoke ring in her face and grins, "How bad are they with rules here?"

	She blows the ring away, nudging him with her foot before crouching down to sit next to him. "Define 'rules'. There are certain things they're pretty hardcore on - no using powers on normal people, no causing a scene... But as for regular outside rules, we've got a pretty good deal here." 	He scoots over a bit so she has room to sit. "Do people use their powers on each other?" He has to ask really, not that he intends to make enemies but he doesn't like to be picked on, and if a snap by the ear will stop that then so be it. "Really? So outside rules they let slide? "Not really, no. It's kind of an unspoken thing. At least, negatively. I mean, no one would give me jazz for what I did to you."

Snorting, she rolled her eyes, something that was always missed. "Depends on the outside rules. We have curfews and all that, but with certain situations, they can be a lot more lenient than some of the human boarding schools. And we have free reign of the kitchen, which is a plus for me, at least, since I like cooking."
