Name: Belua (Be-looah). She has long since forgotten her other names.
Tribe: Lagrimas Irmoes, merfolk, which live in the central lake of the island. They have been granted the ability to leave the water (by switching fins to legs), but only during the daytime. At night they must return to water.

Age: Has the appearance of a young woman of approximately twenty, but cannot remember her actual age.

Belua was once a witch of the Kouzelheks, but was transformed into a mermaid as punishment for daring to try and set foot on Estrella Island in the middle of the lake. She still bears the characteristic red hair of her original tribe. Though she has no recollection of the actual event, it was traumatic for her, and she cannot remember her life before her legs were taken from her. She hates her mermaid tail and is deeply ashamed of it, going to great lengths to prevent others seeing it. During the sunlight, when the merfolk are allowed to roam on land, she spends the entire day running free, climbing, kicking, dancing... and having sex with any male she can successfully proposition. This is her 'legtime', and these are things she can only do when she has legs. At the first sign of sundown she will disappear and hide-- even when in the middle of something-- all to avoid people catching a glimpse of her cursed tail.
