Just to release a little steam...

Sunshine smiles
The past while had been agony on Sasha. She'd enjoyed the difference in the pace of how their relationship was progressing, slow and sweet instead of a whirlwind rush. It was giving her time to get to know all of him; the good, the bad and the grr-face. And under it all, Friedrich McCoy was a pretty wonderful guy. Smart, charming, upfront and not believing in subterfuge or underhandedness, she always knew where she stood with him.

Which had made staying away from him that much worse. She wanted to touch him; snuggle, kiss, fondle and adore. But when she did, it pushed her into that area of arousal, one he could pick up in her scent. And once that happened... well, hormones generally had a way of making anything seem logical. Since they'd decided to wait until the worst of his MPD was under control, Sasha had found it easier to keep her distance from him physically than attempt to stop what'd been started. Of course, since she was touchy by nature, not touching the one person she wanted to was just... argh.

And then, that magical day came when they'd been given the greenlight. She'd found out by a phonecall from Fred, one she'd squeed over before racing out of the mansion and into town.

No way was she not going to celebrate this. Brand new lingerie seemed the best way to go, all things considered.

Which is why she entered the mansion a few hours later, a bundle of small bags swinging in her hands, her face lit in a bright smile.

I spy with my little radar...

"Where the hell do they keep their actual vanilla beans?" She glared through the lenses of her sunglasses at the vanilla extract bottles, all lined up neatly and full of their synthetic vanilla-y goodness. She'd gone over to the fresh herb section and hadn't been able to track them down there, either. Seems like she'd be going somewhere else after this. Walking further along the aisle, she found the marshmallows, grabbing a bag of minis and sliding them into her basket.

Coming to the end of the aisle, she turned and almost bumped into a large obstruction; one standing right in front of one of the display cases. "Oh, jeez, sorry. My bad."

Looking up, she instantly smiled as she recognized the form she'd inadvertently crossed paths with. "Junior? As in UWF wrestling, Junior? No, freaking way!"

Date night - take one

Slow. She could do slow. Maybe. She might die because of it, but she could do it. She'd helped him with his work, making herself available as his 'hand' when he needed two that had more dexterity than his current right one did. It was slowly looking more normal, but it was still difficult for him to do fine work, which had led to a few more outbursts. Not that she could blame him. But, on the plus side, he was adapting to using it, though both of them were hoping it would change back to his 'normal' appearance. As it was, Sasha felt like he could use a break. So, she left a note for him to find while she went and prepared for said break.

Hey gorgeous. I think we should try for a date tonight. I know you won't be comfortable at a restaurant or anything, so I have something set up for us in the back grounds behind the greenhouse. Wear something nice. Be there by 8:00.
Kisses,
S.

It took her three hours to prepare something that he could eat and would like, and another hour to fiddle with her hair and slink into a dress she'd gone out and gotten, specifically for tonight. She was going to make this as date-like as possible; minus the snobby waiter and bad service.

Dressed up and slightly nervous for some reason, she hummed a little senseless ditty as she set out their dinner on the table she'd moved out back. Candles were lit and her portable dock for her mp3 was set to something low and slow. She checked her watch again. Any time now...

Hooded girl
Player (nickname, handle)/ LJ: Ally
Email: alaerys@gmail.com
Character Name: Sasha Morden
Character LJ (if applicable): [info]echokinetic
Physical description (face, build, weight): Blonde, pure white eyes, slim but athletic build, 5'4, 110lbs
Age: 21
Birthday: October 30th
PB: Elisha Cuthbert
Abilities: Echolocation. Sound manipulation. Gymnastics and acrobatics.
Weaknesses and flaws: Mirror's can rebound soundwaves back to her, something she's can't control immediately. Soundproof rooms can nullify her abilities. Doesn't like being referred to as 'the blind girl', also doesn't like being thought of as handicapped. Generally gives people the benefit of the doubt, allowing them second or third chances.
Character location/Home: Her parents are from Los Angelos, but she considers Xavier's school her home.
Alignment (villain, hero etc): She doesn't consider herself either, playing more of an arbitrary role, though she hasn't been put in any position to have to choose. If she did, she'd choose hero.
Relatives (living/dead?): Father. Mother passed away a few years ago.
Backstory: Born blind, Sasha was also seemingly gifted from birth with echolocation; able to 'see' her environment via sonar. She was initially brought to Xavier's when her soundwave manipulation ability manifested at puberty; her inability to control it causing her severe headaches as well as occasionally breaking glass and crystal around her.
How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: She left Xavier's to travel after she graduated. I'm thinking that she got lonely and missed her friends and decided to come home.
What are you planning to do with this character?: Fitting her in as best as I can.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: I'd like to have her interact with the other characters and find a place where she feels she can fit. She doesn't consider herself handicapped and gets somewhat annoyed when it's constantly suggested that she 'sit it out'. I'd like her to be somewhat useful; as both a team member and friend to other characters.

Sample post:

Wriggling in her seat and stretching her legs, Sasha covered a yawn with the back of her hand. Four more hours until the plane touched down in New York, and then she was back to the mansion. She had a healthy glow from the last few months she'd spent in Greece; Spain for almost a year before that, but she'd been feeling that pang of homesickness for the last few weeks. Which had decided for her where her next destination would be: home. And for her, home was Xavier's School for Gifted Children. She'd spent more time there than with her parents in L.A., and now with her mother gone, she just couldn't see her and her 'hanging out' together, alone. Not that he didn't love her; she knew he did, but he wasn't nearly as expressive as her mother had been, and lately, there'd been a tension between them. Like somehow, he blamed her for it. Her absence or her existence, she wasn't sure, but it was there.

"Do you need anything, miss?" The stewardess asked in a tone more slow and drawn out than Sasha had heard her give anyone else on the plane. It was a good thing she didn't have irises or pupils, it meant the woman was saved from the epic eyeroll directed her way. She was blind, not deaf.

"No, thanks, I'm good for now."

"Well, you just let me know if you do. Or if you need to use the restroom. One of the flight attendants would be glad to assist you." Sasha could hear the plastic smile behind the words and refrained from snorting. Translation: 'One of us would like to make sure you get there and don't trip, because we'd hate to be sued by a blind girl'.

Slipping her sunglasses back on, she gave the woman a bright smile. "Will do. Thanks for checking on me." Nothing to see here, just a poor little sightless girl trying to take a nap. Man, she couldn't wait to get home..
