Role in company: Actress
PB: Blake Lively
Background History:
Yamanaka Ino was born a princess, and that's just fine with her. Well, not really a princess, for upper-middle class isn't quite considered royalty in today's society. However, she certainly played the role perfectly. She demanded everything of her parents, two entrepenuers who ran a thriving chain of floral shops, and they were only too happy to grant her every single one of her wishes (within reason, of course. A small part of Ino still wants that pony, though). After all, she was their only child, and they were determined to make and keep their little girl happy.
Growing up, Ino learned to take almost everything for granted. There is a great upside to being a little girl with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes, and that upside is that older people tend to pamper you and people your age tend to love you. Wherever she went, there tended to be a small infantry of girls her age following her, grinning and talking and playing an almost-game of become-Ino's-best-friend. True friendship was not to be found, though, in those girls. In fact, their actions and fakery made Ino grow to dislike the two-faced ways.
Elementary and middle schools were fun for Ino, like a sort of game. She enjoyed learning certain things, and she could be clever in her own ways. Even in the classes that couldn't hold her attention, she charmed her way to a better grade, using sweet words, flattery, and sometimes her parents. Aside from a the few usual rough spots that young girls went through, Ino lived quite the charmed and immensely amazing life
High school was even better, especially seeing as she was one of the most popular girls in the school. Who knew that being over-opinionated and bossy would grant you the most friends, constant spots on the Homecoming Court, and your pick of any guy you wanted? Education took a backseat, for Ino no longer cared about her studies, instead managing to earn passing grades due to natural cleverness and a habit of flirting her way out of trouble with teachers. Although she never, ever, would have sex with a teacher, she lost her virginity early on and didn't regret it at all. Being a good girl was overrated, she decided, she'd rather have fun.
Every year, teachers and her parents would ask her which career she wished to persue. She thought about it, sometimes, but never could she think of anything that truly suited her. Working in her parents' business was out of the question, for as much as she loved flowers, she could never live with such a job. Traditional jobs, like doctor or teacher or lawyer, never appealed to her. What was the fun in doing something so very expected? A few friends who didn't know her too well suggested that she could work in Hollywood, but she knew that she couldn't handle the back-stabbing and fakery of the box-office stars.
It was a road trip to Vegas that decided it, after all. The flashing lights, the cameras, the sex. No one told the people here how to live their lives, no one gave simpering answers to the press whenever they were asked questions. She found herself wandering into the adult entertainment industry, and everything seemed right. Oh, sure, her parents would kill her, this she knew. However, it was just right for Ino. A chance to have others admire her and want to be her, and the sex wasn't exactly a downside. It had the glitter of Hollywood sometimes, but she didn't have to make herself into a media darling. She had the body, the confidence, the talent, so she took a job with the first agent she met.
Later, she realized that taking the first job offered to her wasn't wise. The owner of the company was quite the creep, and Ino couldn't wait to get away from him. She'd grown to love Nevada, though, so she decided she would get as far away as she could without leaving the state. After many hours of driving, she settled down in Reno. It took a while longer to find a job, now that she was combing the offers carefully, but she eventually found herself in Feel Good Industries.
Personality, Likes & Dislikes:
In her opinion, Ino's quite the simple girl to understand. After all, if you just listen to her, she will tell you almost everything you need to know about her. She's straightforward and completely to the point about what she wants, and she's not afraid to shout out who she is to the entire world. If someone doesn't like her, that's fine, but she's not about to change who she is for anyone. She will never become demure or quiet in real life; she will rarely concede things to other without a fight.
Opposite to most other people, her worst qualities are on the exterior and easily displayed, flaunted even. Her bossy side is one that others know well, and she's easily known as shallow. There's nothing she likes quite so much as handsome, charming, successful men and good sex, and she lays far too much credit in appearances. However, there are a few good qualities she flaunts almost as much as her bossy and shallow sides. Her charisma is off the charts, and she takes pride in the fact that she can easily get what she wants by using a few sweet words and a cute smile. Also, she shows her confidence. Well, confidence bordering on vanity and pride, but either way she's happy with who she is as a person, if she is lacking a little confidence in the body-image section.
Not many people notice the best things about Yamanaka Ino. Like the fact that she's honestly a caring person. Most people suspect that she's always trying to get someting out of people, but she often acts out of the goodness of her heart. Her bossiness may fool some, but her true friends know that she's loyal and she'll stay with them when they're in trouble, no matter what she says. Also, she's quite clever. She can read people exceedingly well, and she understands things quickly and easily. However, her flightiness means that, even if she understands something, she may not care enough to actually comprehend it.
For a girl who prides herself on being straightforward and proud of the person she is, sometimes people go a long time without really understanding Ino. Her worst qualities are worn on her sleeves as a way to fend off fakes and posers, people whom she truly despises. However, she's got many good qualities that can shine through, once a person really starts paying attention to more than the yelling and insults and bossiness.
She tends to like many things in life. Her concern for appearances makes her fall hard for attractive people and pretty things, like the flowers she was raised with, and it also makes her a bit of a sucker for simple flattery. In her opinion, it's great to get things easily or for free, but she absolutely loves the challenge of working hard for something. Material things don't often interest her, but she does have a serious soft spot for any purple clothing and Christian Louboutin's high-heels. She's obsessed with frozen yogurt when she needs comfort food that won't ruin her waistline, and she's also a big fan of reading sweet and cheesy romance novels when she's upset. Sunny weather is her favorite, and she loves to run and swim.
When it comes to things she dislikes, there a fewer to list. She hates it when people are better that her in something she cares about, and she has a serious competitive streak. She dislikes very humid days as well as cloudy days with no rain. Because she's often on diets, she won't be found near whole milk, most processed sweets, or full-fat butter. Something few people know about her is that she's a bit claustrophobic, and as such, she hates small, closed spaces. Her least favorite thing in the world, though, is when people act fake around her or hide how they're feeling.

First Person
'Owfuck. No, dear Ino, being a porn star does NOT mean that you are exempt from massive hangovers. Wait... shit, hangover. Where was I last night, even? And dear God, tell me that there's not an ugly man in my bed.' I spazzed out momentarily, snapping my head around so fast I swear I got whiplash. 'Nope, no guys in my bed. Well, that's a little bit of a letdown. You don't get smashed and then just go home alone. Especially not when you're in every other porno movie across the US of A. Really, what's the point of being this hot if you can't even get new guys every so often?'
Sighing, I rolled out of my bed and stomped downstairs. Whoever had the apartment downstairs was just gonna have to suck it up; I didn't care if I was waking them up. It took me a few minutes before I found some of my coffee, but it didn't take me half a moment to get it ready. Like I cared about instant coffee tasting like crap. I just wanted to feel semi-human today. Opening my cabinet, I stared into it a moment before locating the Asprin. Did I ever mention how much I love Asprin? It's like an angel. Or not, but whatever.
Asprin down, followed by another cup of coffee, and I was feeling ready to take on the shower. I probably needed it, too. I wandered into my bathroom, ignoring the mirror as I walked to the shower. No, I did NOT want to see what I looked like at that moment, thankyouVERYmuch. I fumbled with the controls for a moment, getting soaked in cold water accidentally before I managed to turn it up to a more decent degree of warmth. That done, I leaned my head against the wall of the shower, thinking.
'Okay. Hangover. Which means that pretty much I got smashed last night, but there was no guy in my bed, so all I did was drink a lot and then probably managed to call a cab. Who was I out with last night? Was I out with anyone?' I wondered vaguely as I grabbed for my conditioner. 'Oh, fuck. That little bitch at the bar. She was just begging to get in a fight with me, but instead she dared me to go against her in a drinking contest. I hope to God I won. I really do. But I can't even remember how it ended up. Dammit!'
I groaned loudly as I reached for the conditioner. As much as I always have fun drinking, I tend to get a little too crazy when it comes to drinking competitions. I stood motionless for a moment, conditioner in hand, while my memories came flooding back. 'Oh. Oh! Yeah, I totally kicked her ass. I just wish that guy wouldn't have taken her home. I mean, really, she was way too ugly from him, and hel-lo, I was standing right there. Was he blind or something? Sheesh.'
Shaking my head, I made quick work of the rest of my shower and climbed out. As I brushed through my hair and blow-dried it, I inspected my reflection. No, I wasn't as much of a mess as I had inticipated. Maybe I was a little dark under the eyes, but that wasn't anything that good cover-up couldn't hide. My hair done, I meandered, naked, across my hallway and into my bedroom. A quick glance gave me my outfit, a purple racerback tank top and a denim miniskirt, paired with a simple pair of gold ballet flats, and in a moment I was properly clothed.
I'd done my makeup the same way so many times that it took me about a half a minute. Foundation went first, then cover-up for the bad spots, eyes lined in gold, black mascara, a bit of bronzer, pink lip gloss and we're done. I smiled happily at my reflection and blew a kiss into the mirror.
'No, I don't wake up this pretty. I wake up hungover, just like everyone else.'
Third Person
"Get the hell away from me!" Ino cried out, startled and alarmed. "You're like fifty years older than me, and you're my boss, and I don't fucking want to be with you, I don't care how much money you'll pay me!" Her cries did no good as the man came forward, grabbing her hands with one of his own and trying to kiss her neck. The other hand snaked around her body to land on her ass, where it squeezed the soft flesh, earning another angry cry from Ino.
"Hush, girl. Don't talk at all. You're so pretty, and every time you talk you just ruin that completely. Don't act like you don't want me. I can give you everything you want. I'll give you fame, I'll give you money. If you just stay with me, you'll have the best career in the world, even." His face twisted with anger and cruelty as he let go of her ass to lift the hem of her shirt. "And if you do something, I'll ruin you. I'll ruin your career, girl."
Ino screamed out in frustration and kicked her leg up into his groin. Doubling over, the older man cried out in pain and grasped himself, whimpering. However, she didn't waste a second. She wrenched herself out of his close grip and ran around him, sprinting down the halls with more speed than a girl in heels that high should have been managing. Running up the stairs, she cursed herself in her mind. She should've known better, and she definitely should've checked this place's credentials.
It took about five minutes to get everything out of her dressing room and into her small car. Still runing, she got into her car and sped into the apartment she lived in, ignoring her sore legs to leap up the stairs again and run into her room. There were few things of importance there, few things that she actually cared enough about to grab while her head was still spinning in rage and in pain and in sadness. These things she quickly loaded into her car.
The tires squealed as she pulled out of the parking lot as fast as she could manage, no longer minding the speeding laws or stop signs. She just wanted to be as far away from Las Vegas as she could be. Out of Nevada, even, which had always been her favorite place and a special state to her. She was about to go east when she stopped herself, turning west instead.
She wasn't going to leave this state that she loved so much just because of some creep. Then he won twice, not only scaring her out of the city but also out of the state. Setting her mout in a straight line, Ino headed for the other side of the state. After all, she could be far away from him without ever leaving the state. He wouldn't find her in a smaller town, and even if he did, so what? Ino planned on being quite famous at that time.
He was a creep, yes. Part of life was dealing with creeps, especially in the porn industry, Ino decided. So she pretended she'd never been crying, made sure she had her last paycheck, and headed straight for Reno, Nevada.
