My file is right in the only ways that mean anything anymore. *he tried fighting it . . . for far too long, he tried, he exhausted himself to the point of burn-out in the trying, so he just…doesn't even try anymore ………….after an instant of silence, finally looks up, the mask back in place* If you're willing to give a condemned convict a chance, Captain, then I recognize that I would be a fool to turn it down. At least for as long as it lasts. *he's given up believing anything good will happen /anywhere/ in his life, it'll just be snatched back away from him sooner or later, but…might as well for now, what does he have to /lose/?*
