Maru: */startles/ awake, an almost canine /growl/ escaping him as he /jerks/, finding only parts of his body responding properly as he attempts to move to defend himself – he catches himself from trying to sit up as several things register all at once: he's lying on his back, he's /not/ bound, there's a wooden roof in front of (or rather, above) him, and…there's a human LYING ON HIS FACE* W-wha-…who-…g-get /off/ me! *starts to shake his head…but then realizes he might harm the human so…nope, don't do that…finds the arm that /is/ working, though, and reaches up to pick the human up off his face*
