Character Name: Rebecca "Becky" Karen Banner
Character LJ (if applicable): [info]dontmakemeangry
Physical description (face, build, weight):
Normal form: Five-foot-five, one-hundred-twenty-six-pounds, dark brown hair, blue eyes.
Hulk form: Six-foot-six, two-hundred-pounds (all added muscle), green skin, green hair, brown eyes.
Age: 22
Birthday: May 8th.
PB: Alexis Bledel. Using various comic scans for Hulk form.
Abilities:
Through her father, Becky has inherited a "Hulk form" of her own. When she first "hulked out", Beck had a hard time controlling her transformation, and had to be reigned in by her cousin Jen, who was in her She-Hulk form at the time. After the incident, Betty decided that it was best that Becky learn how to control her Hulk form, so that she wouldn't lose herself to her rage, like her father had. It took Becky years of intense training and guidance under Jen, but Becky is able to transform into her Hulk form at will, and maintains her intelligence and personality while in her Hulk form. It has taken Becky years to maintain this level of control, and she didn't suddenly learn how to control it overnight.

While in her Hulk form, Becky has possesses superhuman strength far above the levels of her normal form. Currently, Becky is capable of lifting nearly eighty tons, and is closing in on her cousin's weight class. While also in her Hulk form, Becky possesses superhuman speed, durability, agility, and a regenerative healing factor, though it is no where near Wolverine levels. Like her father and cousin, Becky is also highly resistant to mind control while in her Hulk form.

Also from her father, Becky has inherited near superhuman intelligence, and successfully completed her degree in biological engineering at ESU at age nineteen. Currently, she is at ESU for her graduate studies.

Weaknesses and flaws: When not in her Hulk form, Becky is as vulnerable as the next human female. And even in her Hulk form, while it is hard for her to be hurt, Becky can still be severely injured, or even killed if the threat is great enough.

Exposure to certain wavelengths of radiation only at very high doses can sometimes temporarily inhibit or override her ability to transform between forms. This is usually only a weakness if she is exposed during her normal form.

While not as big of a problem as it was when she first transformed when she was younger, Becky can be triggered into her Hulk form if someone makes her very, very angry. The circumstances would need to be pretty severe for this to happen, such as someone bringing great bodily harm to her mother or someone very close to her. As Becky has the rage aspect of her transformation mostly under control, it takes a great deal more to set her off than it did when she first began to transform.

Character location/Home: New York, New York/Avengers Mansion
Alignment (villain, hero etc): Hero/Avengers
Relatives (living/dead?): Bruce Banner (father, living), Betty Ross (mother, living), Thaddeus Ross (grandfather, living), Jennifer Walters (cousin, living).
Backstory: When Betty unexpectedly conceived, Bruce swore that his child would never know what he was like as the Hulk, and fought harder than ever to control his rage, with the support of his wife. Betty's pregnancy went smoothly, and they welcomed a baby girl, named Rebecca Karen for both of her grandmothers nine months later. For six years, the family was happy.

Then it all went wrong. As the Hulk, Bruce had made a lot of enemies over the years, many of whom wanted nothing more than to see him dead. One day, during a family picnic, the Banners were attacked by Abomination, who wanted to get rid of the Hulk once and for all. Greatly enraged by the attack on his wife and daughter, Bruce transformed into the Hulk for the first time in six years. Betty managed to get Becky out of harm's way during the battle between the two powerhouses, and the Hulk was able to fight Abomination off...but could not calm down after wards. Betty, who had called the Avengers to help subdue her husband, could not stop a six-year-old Becky from running to her father, in an attempted to get him to calm down. Bruce, not recognizing his daughter while in his Hulk form, flung her into a tree, and she sustained a serious head injury. Becky was rushed to the hospital the second that the Avengers and SHIELD arrived on the scene, and was in critical condition, and it was uncertain if the little girl would survive. By nothing short of a miracle, she was in a coma for six months.

But Bruce would not be there when his daughter woke up. Disgusted with himself at what he had done to her, Bruce told Betty that it was best if he remained out of their lives, and with a heavy heart, left his family, and Betty was left to explain the curse of the Hulk to Becky. But while Betty raised Becky without Bruce, she never forgot to tell her daughter everyday that her Daddy loved very much, and would be with them if he could.

Cousin time. [10 May 2011|12:33pm]
Becky had been extremely busy as of late. Between studying for finals and getting all of her projects that needed to be done out of the way, in addition to registering for her summer classes, and securing a job for the summer that she would be able to pay for rent, she was barely finding time to eat and sleep.

When her cousin Andy had called her earlier that week, and said that he was going to be in New York on business, she was more than happy to make some time to go down to the city for the day to meet him for lunch. Besides, she could use the break from burning her eyes into her textbooks.

Becky arrived at Big Nick's at noon on the dot. She stepped inside, looking for her cousin.

When Betty unexpectedly conceived, Bruce swore that his child would never know what he was like as the Hulk, and fought harder than ever to control his rage, with the support of his wife. Becky was rushed to the hospital the second that the Avengers and SHIELD arrived on the scene, and was in critical condition, and it was uncertain if the little girl would survive. By nothing sort of a miracle, she was in a coma for six months.

When Becky was ten years old, she "hulked out" for the first time. It was over something quite trivial, really. Becky was visiting her cousins, Jen and Andy, and while playing a board game with Andy, Andy made a move that Becky declared as "cheating". The two argued, and Becky could feel herself getting angrier and angrier, and within minutes, a little green Hulk girl was standing in the living room, ready to hurl the coffee table at her cousin. Jen's timely intervention saved both kids from going berserk, and Betty was able to calm her daughter back down into her normal form, and had to console a very frightened Becky, who had never undergone anything like it before. Later that night, Betty had a long talk with Jen, and they agreed that it would be for the best that Jen start to train Becky to control her Hulk form, so that incidences like what happened earlier that day would never occur again.

Through intense training on both the mental and psychical levels, Becky was taught how to control her Hulk form to the point where she was able to transform in and out of it at will, though it did not just happen overnight, and Becky not maintain full control until she seventeen years old, when the first parts of puberty had subsided. At her cousin's suggestion, Becky joined the Avengers as a reserve member while she studied for her first degree in biological engineering at ESU. Becky graduated with honors at age nineteen, and was told by her mother that if her father were there, he would be so proud of her.

Currently, Becky is studying her graduate studies at MIT. She has heard news that the Hulk is back in his savage form...and it worries her greatly without end, though she tries not to show it.

How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Becky will be joining the Thunderbolts, and be replacing Molly as team brick when she goes over to the Exiles.
What are you planning to do with this character?: Development. Thunderbolt stuff. Talk to De about doing some Hulk stuff.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: I'd like for her to possibly come into contact with her father...either as the Hulk or as Bruce at least once, as she hasn't seen or heard from him in years.
