Hyo stood at attention as he always did when reporting to the director. His face was calm, his voice neutral. "He wasn't optimistic, sir. She won't have very much power." 02:00 pm [Link]	More Lightning at Sea Things! Y'all probably remember that last video I posted, the fake trailer for my friend and I's AU with the evil Water Tribe. That trailer has been taken down because I made a couple tweaks and reposted it. The new link is here; the largest change involves the music. I think this new one works better. I've also created a kind of teaser trailer, which probably should have come first, but whatever. Like all teasers, it is a lying liar who lies like Azula, but it's still fun. It's likely that some of the scenes in this particular trailer will not appear in the story itself, but it was still fun to do, which is really the whole point of the exercise, non? 11:37 pm [Link]	AU Fantrailer So a few months ago, Bex and I got to talking about an alternate universe of Avatar: The Last Airbender, wherein rather than the Fire Nation starting the war, it was the Water Tribes. Not long after that, Tide and Time (LiveJournal \| FF dot net) resulted, because Bex is an awesome Bex. We, however, were not finished. There is going to be more in this world - after all, we have to find out what the Fire Royals are up to, and where everyone's favourite airbender fits in! 11:25 am [Link]	Dragon of the Mooniverse Scribble Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender Universe: AU; Everyone gets shuffled one forward in the nation cycle. Air Nomads are the aggressors, led by Air Khagan Ozai Summary: A young doctor from the Fire Nation rides with the Khagan after her capture. DotM Canon: Probably not, but it's still interesting to write. Characters: Ozai, Song There are reasons for his behaviour here; he's not as OOC as you might think She is so entranced by the view before her that she is unaware of the Air Khagan's proximity until his hand runs over her hair; startled, she turns to see that he is much closer than she likes. The smile that curves his lips isn't friendly, but rather satisfied; this is a man used to getting what he desires. "Lovely, isn't it?" he asks, and she turns her gaze back to the clouds around them and the ground below. She isn't entirely certain that it is the view he means, but she's glad to seemingly misinterpret for the nonce. "Yes," she murmurs. His hand, when it brushes against her neck, is cool, cooler than the men of the Fire Nation, than those few of the Earth Kingdom she has treated. She cannot help but shudder as she imagines the deaths that very hand must have wrought, by pen or by deed. "You seem chilled," he comments now, as his hand returns to the top of her head for another stroke of her hair. She considers her words for a moment, then carefully replies, "Imperial Majesty, my home is quite humid at this time of year, and it seems the higher we are, the cooler it gets." To her relief, he makes no offer to keep her warm - and why would he? Such antics are for boys, not men. Instead, he takes his hand from her hair; there is a rustle of cloth and then the Khagan's silk tunic settles around her shoulders. Startled again, she looks up at him a second time. He is no more undressed than he was before giving her the tunic; he still wears an undertunic of pale yellow cotton. He says nothing, though his smile - no, it is certainly a smirk - deepens, and he runs his hand over her hair once more before returning his attention to driving his bison. Confused, Song draws the burnt orange silk closer around her and resumes watching the horizon. She later observes that if she steps out of line, or even tries to escape, it's very likely he'll kill her himself. So. Take that as you will. His fire is so harsh it hurts my eyes; I keep them closed and listen for his fire to prevent him from getting the drop on me. The boy is fighting him with all his heart, all his soul, and while he isn't winning, Ozai isn't winning either. The boy's determination burns in his eyes like a nova - but novas only shine for a brief time before they are snuffed out. don't procrastinate The rogue firebender's concerns were certainly valid, and it certainly helped that the local villagers believed Ozai capable of almost any atrocity. So when he urged them to evacuate the area, they packed essentials and what little wealth they had, fleeing the upcoming battleground. goal Oh, gods. I can't feel anything anymore. No, I lie. I feel pain. It's been a long fight. I got lucky; he couldn't hit me with lightning. But speed doesn't win battles. It's over. Ozai's destroyed me. But the comet is leaving.
