It was bound to happen
It was bound to happen eventually. The way she lived life and enjoyed herself had caught up to her. It was time to face the music and accept responsibility for her actions.

She took a deep breath and called Mike.

Maria let out a sigh of relief. "Tell me about it." Thank God he didn't want to get married. "I'm sure we can set something up if you want to be a part of the kid's life."
