ADELAIDE MCCORMACK-KNIGHTLEY

Rose Knightley and Thomas McCormack ended up together as everyone thought they would: eventually and at all of the sudden. After supporting each other endlessly over the years through almost marriages, personal strife, and career achievements, it wasn't until both turned thirty and thought back upon their school-hood pact made so many years ago; it wasn't until then that either thought of returning to the other in that way. So, it was with a quiet resolve that Rose and Thomas took to the notion that perhaps their previous failed relationships were a telltale sign of something they had been choosing to ignore for a very long time at the cost of their friendship. It wasn't explicitly discussed, but by the end of the night (and a rather teary confession on Rose's part of admitting she would have hated anyone Thomas brought around that resolved to be Alice's 'replacement Mother'), they had decided now was the time to either put to bed or let their unchecked, and sometimes confusing, feelings for each other flourish.

A year later they were married, and despite media claims that they had not and in fact were broken up because Rose had made no indication of publicly changing her last name, Thomas and Rose felt themselves quite a happy couple. In 1990 Rose retired from quidditch to finally open her own flower shop, and competing professionally against each other had never really been a problem for her and Thomas, it did help ease any lingering tension between them. They were able to settle much more comfortably than before in their town village of Appleby and enjoy a life that wasn't completely centered around the circus of wizarding quidditch media.

Albeit unplanned, Rose becoming pregnant was a welcomed surprise. Alice had for a long time now been begging for a younger sibling, and after promising to come find her the moment she informed her father, Rose requested Thomas' presence down in the back of the shop. Perched atop the floral preparation table, she was quite ready to share the news, but before she could Alice came hurtling into the room, declaring all she could at the top of her lungs. After all, it was her news too, and it was in her humble opinion that Rose was taking far too long.

Adelaide McCormack-Knightley was born away from prying eyes and entirely loved the moment she took her first breath. Set on providing her a normal and creative childhood, Adelaide was bestowed with a large backyard, plenty of neighborly friends to play with, and as many paint sets, crayons, and pieces of parchment her heart desired. While appreciating the game of quidditch, she never showed much interesting in following her parents footsteps professionally, a decision both Thomas and Rose found they surprisingly supported, as long as Adelaide was happy.

Upon arrival to Hogwarts, Adelaide was easily sorted into Hufflepuff, and her friendly and easy-going nature allowed her many friends in school. While still at relative loss as to where or what she wants to go into for her future, Adelaide now is perfectly content on spending her summers between helping her mother run the flower shop and attending her father's quidditch games with her sister and friends.
