Here's how it happens. You give me a couple, any couple (so long as I've played one of the characters) and I'll write a drabble around 100 words about them in reply to your comment. This can be ANY couple (anything.. shippiness or cuteness or whatever), and it can have been a game-canon couple, or something completely off-the-wall. I do back-history, I do future, and I do AU crack. If you want a particular theme or rating, let me know. The ratings will be anywhere from G to uh, well I suppose NC-17 but I dunno if I can get that in 100ish words.

/ = Shippyness and "and" means ordinary interaction

Alice and Abe

It was something about spring time that made people not want to hang out in dingy, poorly lit bars. April was always a month that Abe dreaded and despised, but it was something about this disgustingly cheerful day that made him want to vomit and kick small puppies.

Not that he didn't normally want to kick small puppies, but today the feeling was highly intensified.

Maybe it was because he didn't have any customers to spread his joy upon. There hadn't been one person in the place since he'd opened, and it was nearing four o'clock. He might as bloody well shut down, seeing as everyone was out enjoying fresh air and the sun, but as the thought crossed his mind, the door bell jingled and a crack of that wretched sunlight fell through the place.

"Mister Dumbledore?"

Abe, who was squatting behind the bar counter, winced greatly at the sound of Alice Longbottom's voice. Just what he needed, a walking ray of sunshine. Heaving a great breath, Abe stood, planting his hands on the counter to let her know that she had to leave right this instant, but found himself faltering at the sight of the cake topped with glowing candles sitting on the bar.

Alice's usually chipper face was somewhat solemn, and she smiled lightly.

"I know you don't have a birthday, but I thought that---if you did one, for every month, every year---you could have some fun with it anyway. And--I didn't tell James or Sirius, this time." She smiled again, this time a bit stronger, and Abe took the moment to look her over, taking in her tired expression, the protruding belly under her...spring dress. Heh.

Well. He was bored.

"Smartest thing you've ever done," he said with what could be considered a smile, seeing Aberforth Dumbledore didn't smile. But, Alice seemed impressed enough, and clapped lightly as he blew out the candles. "Let's cut this up, shall we?"
