"If I guess the color, can I see them?" Bertram asked quickly, and taking Emmeline's dubious expression as a 'yes' (even though it most certainly meant a 'no') he began to list off random colors of the rainbow, wondering just what was going on under Emmeline's blouse, "Blue? Pink? Purple---maroon? They're maroon, aren't they! A bet's a bet!"
