Will did his best to be a supportive friend during Anneliese's rough time dealing with her boyfriend's fame and celebrity (and her consequential infamy), but after seeing her being treated poorly, Will made his move and kissed her on his birthday. Pushed apart for a little bit, when Will's brother was killed, Anneliese decided to comfort him and that led into snogging in random corridors--while she was still with her boyfriend.

They tried to hide it at first, but after a while the two didn't care who knew. Will and Anneliese dealt with their issues and were engaged on a holiday in Bermuda days before she began her seventh year. They planned for a summer wedding, and were surprised with an unexpected pregnancy weeks before they actually got to say their vows. The Jugsons had to deal with the surprise of a baby and the death of their in-laws, the McKinnons hours into their marriage. Now weeks away from welcoming their son Henry, they're stressed, but they're together.
