Alex/Gracie
Having safely tucked Zacharias into bed, Graciela made her way into the master bedroom and slipped under the covers. Alex was deeply engrossed with the book he'd picked up earlier in the day and Graciela simply watched him, her head resting on her pillow and hands on her stomach. It had been almost seven years since Zacharias was born, and finally---they had decided to wait before having more children, but it had taken them longer than they would've liked...who would've thought that when they were actually trying to get pregnant, it would take them a good two years?
One hand slipped from her belly (it wasn't really a belly yet, she was only about a month along) and to Alex's waist, tugging at the band of his pajamas pants. He swatted her hand away expertly and Graciela grinned and tugged again.
"Nyehhgg," Alex muttered, eyes not leaving the book as his free hand took hers, intertwining the fingers; it would have been cute if Graciela knew he was only trying to keep her hands off of him. She rolled her eyes and wiggled a bit, pushing down the blanket and lying flat on her back. Well, she'd just have to find something more interesting than sex to catch her husband's attention. Graciela pulled Alex's hand and put it on her stomach, wondering if he'd at least get suspicious by her odd behavior, but apparently the book was the best thing ever created because Alex's eyes simply continued to move back and forth of the pages.
"It's a girl," she whispered.
"What's a girl?" Graciela watched as Alex kept the book up in front of his face, but his eyes had stopped moving.
"The baby---" the word was barely out of her mouth before the book was thrown across the bedroom and Alex had rolled on top of her---hovering a bit, as he was now quite aware that she wasn't the only girl occupying the bed.
"Really?" he asked softly, dropping his forehead to hers so that her eyes went out of focus trying to lock onto his, their lips grazing.
"Mmhmm." Their fingers locked, Alex lifting her hands high past her head on thee pillows and Graciela's heart began to beat faster than it had in months.
"Not some messed up potion again?"
"Went to the healers."
"Bloody hell---" And he kissed her fiercely.
