1. Did you
really think they'd be able to
not name their kid after a Beatles' song? Chase and Beau even managed to find a plastic silver hammer rattle for a 'welcome to the world' present.
2. By the time he reached Hogwarts, Max was praying that they'd create a new House just for him. His whole
life he'd been hearing the argument of Slytherin vs. Ravenclaw and how he
clearly showed signs of the
other House and blah blah blah...so he ended up in Gryffindor. Max is pretty sure his parents ignored his owls home for a week or two because of it.
3. Thankfully, he did make the Gryffindor quidditch team, got prefect, and is the top candidate for Head Boy. Of
course, his mother
assured him that she would be very proud of him even if he didn't get all these titles, but Max knew that Sadie set off fireworks at the news.
4. Max ends up going into journalism, and started off writing at the Daily Prophet. But, he couldn't be contained to a desk, and moved over to the WWN, where he is a field reporter and reports the news from all over the British Isles, and is about to start doing international stories.
5. He can do the math. He was conceived right around the time Voldemort was defeated. Max has never brought it up with his parents, because his mother has always insisted that there was nothing strange about the timing, but his father likes to tell elaborate stories about the final battle at Hogwarts and how
intense it was and---yeah, Max tunes him out when his mother starts blushing madly.
