100 questions - Emmeline Vance

Part 1: The Basics

1. What is your full name? Emmeline Josephine Vance

2. Where and when were you born? Liverpool, England, November 11th, 1960. I'm supposing in a hospital, I never actually asked or was told. Hm.

3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.) Philip Vance is the youngest of three brothers, coming from a...they're not very prominent, the Vances, but they're well-liked and old, I suppose. He runs a book publishing company that takes him away a lot, but kept my library packed with books. My mother is Jacqueline Vance, nee MacMillan (who apparently are very pureblooded, I have no idea), a silly Hufflepuff at its finest. She got married straight out of Hogwarts and had me a little less than a year later, and has never grown up. She's a housewife and loves the socialite life. They're currently living in France for my father's company. I tell people I don't miss them, but these past few months have been awfully rough, and it would be nice to have someone waiting at home for you. Even if they never really bothered to be parents, but still.

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? No, thank God.

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people. Right now my home is Ravenclaw Tower at Hogwarts, but outside of school I have a lovely flat in Bristol.

6. What is your occupation? Hogwarts Student. Member of the Order of the Phoenix. Overall amazing individual.

7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks. I...am 165 cm tall, definitely nothing to brag about, really. I suppose I'm thin but I've never actually tried to lose weight or eat healthy or what not. Actually, I'm rather thin and flat everywhere, to be honest. Not much to brag about, again.

I have 'such pretty' light blue eyes that I don't like because they're all...they stand out. So I don't like them. The one thing--well, no, that's a lie, I keep myself rather neat, but I do pay attention to my hair. Usually it's just tied at the base of my neck, but messy hair drives me crazy. If I have messy hair then I'm completely thrown off course and I feel as if everyone's staring at me. Oh. It's brown.

Hm. I have freckles. Lots of them. Not really on my face (but yes, there are some, I know), and I'm rather pale. Rather, rather pale. Very pale.

I don't know what to call my style of dress. I'm rarely not in a skirt, if that helps. Very neat. Not sophisticated but not casual. I don't have any tattoos; I don't think it would be a bad thing to get one, I just don't know what of. It would drive Frank crazy, I think. I do have scarring, one on my knee from when I was young and jumping off of a playground set, and one my wrist because I broke it last year during quidditch practice one time. Fixed right up, but it left a mark. I've got burn marks across my back and around my wrists and ankles that I keep hidden with glamor charms, thanks to those lovely folks we call death eaters. Battle scars are way cooler than quidditch wounds, though.

8. To which social class do you belong? Financially? My parents are in the upper-class. I used to go to all those parties but that stopped the moment they didn't force me. Right now...well, I have no job, right now I don't have a home because I don't want to live there, so I'm actually not in a good spot. I'm quite sure that when my parents find out I've given up the house they're going to stop supporting me, so...yes, I suppose that puts me into a situation.

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? I think it's mostly grass and pollen, I get really congested when the trees and flowers start blooming. Really, really annoying, because that's when finals usually are.

Physical weaknesses...well, my knee's never been the same since Greenland (Greenland, I shit you not). It still hurts a lot more than it should after long hours on my feet, so I suppose you can say that.

10. Are you right- or left-handed? Left-handed

11. What does your voice sound like? I've got the typical Liverpudlian (or, well, people around there call themselves Scousers, but) accent, kind of sing-song. Kind of low, actually, I'd definitely be an alto in choir. I tend to enunciate a lot, which would make my speech sharper than most from around my area (I heard some muggle band's made it famous? Hm?). I do hope it's not annoying, because I tend to talk a lot (and fast).

12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? 'Honestly' and...I never used to curse, I used to get scolded for it at home, but I cuss quite freely now, ha. 'Oh, stop it,' is another one.

13. What do you have in your pockets? Nothing, I don't usually have pockets. In my cloak pockets? Usually a pair of gloves and tissues. My wand's usually out unless I'm in a muggle area

14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? Do you know if they're annoying if they don't bother you? I tend to question everything, but that may just be the fact that I'm a Ravenclaw. Which I suppose is a defining characteristic. I use my hands a lot when I speak---oh, I tend to hit. Not hard, but like a quick swat on the arm or something during a conversation. I could see how that could be annoying.

I lie easily. Very easily. It's kind of scary, actually, I never used to think myself a liar, but apparently I'm rather good at it.

Part 2: Growing Up

15. How would you describe your childhood in general? Ha, well. My mum had a horrible pregnancy and resented me for ruining her figure, she couldn't exactly behave motherly because she was still a child herself...my...father was disappointed he didn't have an heir, and when my mother refused to try for another kid, he just kind of gave up. Basically, I was treated like a little adult. I got scolded for being silly, smacked when I talked back, hm.

Occasionally (as in, rarely, it happened maybe once every other month or so) my mother would take me to a nearby park, and I think being out of the house and feeling like a kid herself instead of some socialite who had no time for frivolous things like tea parties (not that I er--wanted to ever do that---).

I don't know. It wasn't good, but I'm not emotionally scarred or anything, I don't think. If I sat down with someone who knows about all that nonsense then I'm sure they could find something wrong with me (technically, a lot of things, but), but I'm not crying over how mummy and daddy mistreated me.

16. What is your earliest memory? It seems like everything I think about takes place in my father's library. All of the walls had bookshelves jam packed with texts and I know I wasn't allowed in there by myself (even though I was in there all the time, I was very good at putting things back into place), so I'm not sure why it's all I can think of.

17. How much schooling have you had? I had various tutors before Hogwarts. I had a French one who was rather nasty to me one evening so I made his mouth disappear. My first sign of magic, ha. He didn't come back. I had to wait almost a year after my eleventh birthday to go to Hogwarts, but for the past seven years I've been a Ravenclaw there.

18. Did you enjoy school? I enjoyed learning, and becoming a better witch. I don't know if ever really liked going to school. I didn't really make friends until fifth year, even my roommates were a little stiff until we all finally loosened up. There was a point when getting good grades (the best grades) was all I could focus on, but life doesn't really like staying on the same track. Seventh year, my most important year, has decided to be the biggest bitch, and my grades are suffering greatly because of the Order. The professors that know about it (McGonagall, Flitwick, and Sprout) give me some sort of leeway, but I just had to be an overachieving Ravenclaw and take a full course load. Slughorn bloody hates me because he knows I don't do the assignments until the free time before class and I still get Os (well, maybe Es).

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? Hogwarts? Though I definitely have picked up a few skills from hanging around the Order and too many Gryffindor boys.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. The closest thing I would say I had to that was Professor Flitwick. I wasn't a very social person during my earlier days in Hogwarts, but he saw I had a natural talent in Charms and would stay after class with me to show off some spells he was working on. As in, actually making them! Of course I was incredibly impressed, and I'd go and do some research for him. He swears he's going to name one after me, which is just---probably would be the best moment of my life, ha.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? Until I stopped going to social gatherings, I guess I saw them often enough. Allison and Giada (cousins) were far too loud and bouncy for me. Charlotte would be the one I could have gotten along with the best if she wasn't so much older, even though I do still talk to her. She's just a lot calmer, even if she barely talks.

Frank's my second cousin, and when we were little, well, we kind of drove each other mad. Only a year apart and constantly, constantly forced together by our parents ("Aw, look how cute, he's playing with his baby cousin!") caused us to fight a lot. Then he went off to Hogwarts and became a big shot Gryffindor (or at least that's what I thought) and I became very, very bitter at him. Because honestly, even if we fought he was still my constant companion so, yes, very annoyed at Frank for leaving me. Going to Hogwarts didn't help much either because his roommates were the ridiculous Marauders, and I couldn't stand them.

It wasn't until fifth year that I really started to talk to Frank again, even if it was only about his best friend, Benjy Fenwick. I had started to fancy him, and Frank was right there in the middle. Somehow along the way Frank and I were talking again on our without Ben, and now he's probably my best friend. I mean, there are obviously things I can't talk about to Frank that I can talk about to Anneliese (oy, boys are the main Avoid-Mentioning-to-Frank topic), but I don't think I could trust anyone as much as him. Merlin, I have no bloody idea what I would do if Frank died on the job, or for the Order, I honestly---I can't even write it, I can't think about it.

I didn't have a sibling, so I'm keen to believe that the way I love Frank is how I would've loved my brother. I don't know if people find it weird or not, how Frank is always ranked above everyone else (especially boyfriends), but I don't care, I honestly do not care.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I never really had anything specific until around fifth year, when Professor Flitwick told me I could make it as an Unspeakable. And just imagine, I would literally be unfolding the world's greatest mysteries! It should have been every Ravenclaws' dream job, but then I had to go and fall in love and make friends and I realized that I couldn't abandon these people to go and live a life of secrecy. Damn socializing.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities? Reading, ha. Everything I could get my hands on, and my father had a lot of books in the house so my mental lexicon of books was quite full by the time I reached Hogwarts. I did get a doll house for...I think it was my fifth birthday, that was absolutely gorgeous. I didn't have many dolls, but the ones I did have had many adventures inside of the house.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? Oh, I was a right nasty bugger, I think. I was quiet in public, behaving just on the brink of annoying so that my father wouldn't get put off with me, but at home I was always arguing with them. My father because he never let me do anything, and my mother because she just wasn't that smart. I know I wasn't some child genius that knew everything, but she never explained things and that drove me nutters, so I would fight with her until she gave me a real answer, and even then I knew it was just something she'd made up.

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? Ha! Well, okay, again, fifth year was when I actually started to grow up and stop being annoying. I know, I know, I probably still am, but at least I stopped enough to make friends with my roommates, who are really amazing girls. I am so thankful to have been Sorted with them, because I honestly do not know how I could have finished the last three years without them.

Anneliese Rosenberg is my best friend, the one that I run to with everything (outside of Order stuff, of course). She knows when to agree with me simply because that's what I'm asking her to do, and she knows when to tell me 'Well...' because I need a fresh perspective on things. She's a little twitchy, but I think we all are, and Anneliese is at her best when she's in charge of something. She's the prefect of our year, and now quidditch captain, so she is really at the top of her game. She's marrying--ugh, she's marrying Will Jugson, who Frank and I are positive is a death eater, but I can't say anything to Anneliese about it until I have actual evidence, because then who knows what Jugson might do. But, I'll always be there to protect her, so that keeps my mouth shut about it.

Juliet Dearborn. I'm not sure if words could actually describe her. She is sarcastic beyond all definitions of the words and will knock you down off your high horse so fast that you'll end up with horseshoe imprints on your face. Honestly, I find that I can talk the best to Juliet, even if I do find myself a little intimidated by her. But, our love for driving her brother absolutely insane is one of my favorite past times, so I know Juliet and I will remain in contact.

Ellie Bell is the fresh air that sweeps through our dorm. She is definitely not as serious as the rest of us can be, but she is smart as a tack and is quite hilarious. Sometimes its easy to forget that we are teenage girls and we are allowed to be silly beyond belief, and Ellie has made sure that we don't lose that innocence.

Now...okay, I'll just do the boys in our year, because I actually do have more friends than that now which still boggles my mind.

Dedalus Diggle, I've actually talked to him the most out of all my roommates and year mates, because we kind of had that, nerdy-let's-sit-in-the-library thing going on all our lives. At first it was mostly an academic relationship, but then we both made the quidditch team in sixth year and began to talk as friends. And then I figured out (oh yes, I make sure to note that I discovered it all the time) that he was a natural Legilimens, and he became a member of the Order of the Phoenix. I think out of all my year mates I respect Dedalus the most. He's smart and funny and really tries to be a good person (and he is, I'm not saying he usually isn't, but he tries to be) and I'm glad I have his trust. It's something I really don't want to muck up.

Elphias Doge is...oh, he infuriates me. He actually gets me so mad sometimes that I want to smack him with an encyclopedia. And not because he's rude or nasty, no he's none of those things, he's just so---he's very---I can't think of the word, she's very in his place. It takes a lot to budge Elphias, and well, after reading all of this I'm sure you've come to realize that I'm a very stubborn person. When Elphias and I get into little bickering matches, it can honestly drive me up the wall. But, at the end of the day, I know I can rely on him, even if we had just been fighting over something asinine an hour before.

Brad Madley. Brad Madley. See, he's always been my friend, always a very good friend too, and it took me a long, long time to realize that he actually fancied me quite a bit. And I think it's something I'll never forgive myself for, but we did date and I did end up ruining what could have been something great. I did, I'll admit that, and for a long time I was trying so desperately to be his friend again that I couldn't help but feel sad about it all. Then we finally were able to talk normally again, and I'm proud of him, I really am---he's working with Leo Lovegood and The Quibbler (I'll always call it rubbish but Brad's work is brilliant--) and then he goes---he's professed his undying love for me. And, I don't know what to think. I don't want to lose his friendship, but I have had such horrid, horrid luck in relationships that I can't even think about mucking up another one. And Brad's just---he's Brad and I do love him because he is all around amazing, but I think I would rather have that amazing friendship than put it at risk again? I don't know, I haven't really sat down and thought about it, but yes. Bradley Madley (how lovely of his mother, hm?) is a wonderful person who I've found myself in an interesting situation with.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss? Mother fucking---I did not know there would be questions like. Well. technically, my first kiss was with. You don't really need to know, do you? I was ten! Or...or eleven. No, no I was ten, I think. But at any rate. He only did it to annoy me! Caradoc Dearborn lives to annoy me, I think.

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? Mm. No. My first time shouldn't have happened, and it was with Ben Fenwick after a death eater attack. I rarely let my guard down, but Ben and I had created such a rift between each other to have him come back to me that way, it was all too much, and, yes. It was stupid, it was very stupid.

28. What was your first sign of magic? My first sign of magic, as I stated before, was making my French tutor's mouth disappear. Oh, it was so funny, except I got punished for a week for it. How was I supposed to know that could happen?

Part 3: Past Influences

29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? Holy hell. I...would have to say Frank's kidnapping. Because that's the catalyst of it all. I was stuck in a huge rut because of my breakup with Ben, but once I found out Frank had gone missing? Completely showed me that there are a lot more important things than boys and dating and what not. It also gave me the opportunity to join the Order, and being a member is what I was born to do, I honestly believe that.

30. Who has had the most influence on you? Oddly enough, the first guy who broke my heart. Ben Fenwick helped me become a better person, I'll never deny him that. He got me talking to people, he got me to loosen up, he showed me that I could be sexy and fierce and do what I believed was right, so---yeah, he's caused me a lot of pain, but I know I wouldn't be who I am if it wasn't for him.

31. What do you consider your greatest achievement? Wow. I really have no idea. Do I definitely need an answer? This would be a lot easier if I'd made prefect or Head Girl, because that's the easy response. I'm glad I never was, actually, but. Maybe I'll wink and say that the best is yet to come.

32. What is your greatest regret? Not getting Anna Marie out of Flourish & Blotts.

33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done? Hm. I don't think I've done anything evil. What's the worst thing I've ever done? Cheated on my boyfriend.

34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? HA. I definitely could. I punched Rita Skeeter in the face, so that might be on my Hogwarts record.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened? Remus and I broke up one of Fenrir Greyback's plots. He was trying to turn children into werewolves by keeping them hostage in his basement. Remus found out the night of the full moon, and we barely escaped and---I still can't talk about it. When I was kidnapped, I was at least beaten enough (I know, it sounds ridiculous, but---) to not really pay attention to all the things that could go wrong, but that night, I could hardly move.

36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? I'm still mad at her for it. Gleny Chit--Prewett tried to give James Potter a love potion, but I took the drink and...it was absolutely humiliating. I kissed her! I kissed her in front of people. Merlin's beard, Anneliese still brings it up, and oh my God. That was horrendous.

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? I guess breaking up with Brad so horribly. It's the only thing I honestly feel guilty about all the time.

38. What is your best memory? I use it for my patronus. Dancing with Frank and my friends at the Potter wedding. It was the happiest anyone had been in a long, long time, and it was just wonderful to see so many people from school that I knew weren't going to be there in September. Most of the Order was there, too, so it was like we finally got to gather without having it be about fighting death eaters.

39. What is your worst memory? Seeing Anna Marie die. I will never forget the sound her body made when it hit the floor.

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? Pessimistic, for sure.

41. What is your greatest fear? Frank dying.

42. What are your religious views? I...like to think that there's something to blame when everything goes absolutely wrong.

43. What are your political views? The ministry is absolute shit right now, so I am definitely for an upheaval.

44. What are your views on sex? I dated Ben for nearly a year and we didn't have sex. We only did because of the circumstances and lack of thought processes. Remus was different, we were dating and...well, mostly our first time was because it was near the moon, it was rather hot, and I wanted to make a more memorable 'first time' for myself. I wasn't at all upset that we had sex so quickly, because I have known him for a long time and we'd gone through a lot. I liked feeling like an adult, and I don't regret it.

I do think that my next boyfriend will have to wait a little longer for that, though. Things moved so quickly with Remus that when it fell apart, Merlin, we were so exhausted about it all that it felt like it had been over for a long while.

So---yes, Caradoc needs to wait for a little bit. Even though it's awfully hard. No pun intended, aha..

45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? I would do everything in my power not to, but I would if there was no other option.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? Betrayal.

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? Mm. I do, I think. And I think people have soul mates and life simply can't let them be. I think that there isn't always a happy ending, and I think that sucks. I think its okay to fall in love a few times, but I also think that there is one person who is always always going to be in your life, no matter the title, and I think that's what a soul mate is.

48. What do you believe makes a successful life? I think, as cliche as this is going to sound, that if you're happy, you're fine.

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)? I keep my life involving the Order a secret. I'm mostly a very open person when it doesn't involve...I think I'm very wary of sharing what's upsetting me, because I don't want people to be worried. I need people to care, but I don't want to bother them with it. I feel like I'm making more of a burden on a person than anything.

50. Do you have any biases or prejudices? Oh, I'll always think Hufflepuffs are duffers. There are exceptions, but Merlin. I won't be able to get rid of that, I think. Maybe if my kid is one.

51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it? Betray the Order. I would die for the cause, and I know this, and it scares me, but there is nothing else that will be able to affect the war like the Order, and I am willing to do anything to help it succeed.

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)? Frank, Anneliese. Caradoc. The Order. Juliet. Dedalus.

Part 5: Relationships With Others

53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how? Oh, it definitely changes. I don't give people the benefit of the doubt, they absolutely need to prove their worth. I'm not a complete snot, I listen to what they have to say before judging, but sometimes you just know, right? But I do warm to people. Like Bertram Aubrey? Completely disgusted by him for most of our Hogwarts year, and then I actually started to talk to him (and he managed not to hit on me--well, maybe once) and he's actually rather cool.

54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why? Frank. What can I say that I haven't said? He's my brother, I trust him with absolutely everything, and his opinion matters the most. I would seriously do almost anything Frank says---of course we have our arguments and differences, but after almost every one, I sit and think about his side of the story and think to myself, 'Well, maybe Frank's right.' He's the only family I truly have, and I think that's another big reason for my attachment.

55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why? Wow. I don't know. Actually--Lily Potter. Because she's brilliant and has gone through so much shit, but can still get up and deal with her husband and his idiotic tendencies and friends with a smile on her face. I really hope I can have that much strength.

56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people. Well, I did the people who've been with me longest, Anneliese being my best friend, so...

Sirius Black. Wow, okay, I never thought I would actually consider him a friend, but at some point he'd taken to teasing me (oh, right, he used to call me Strawberry...I forget why. Something about Ben) and it's just fun conversation, really. Oh! Oh. Haha, I don't know how I forget this all the time (more likely its me pushing it out of my mind): we saved Hogsmeade from being blown up. Yep. Well, maybe only a few buildings, but. But yes, since then Sirius and I have been rather good friends. I'm not afraid to tell him he's being an idiot and he talks back to me just the same, which is what every good friendship needs. He's hilarious and brilliant, but there's always that little air of mystery that keeps me coming back for more.

Ben Fenwick. My first boyfriend, my first love, my first time. Ben's got a temper on him that's cooled considerably, and now he's a good medium of the gentle boy I fell in love with and the raging madman he turned into for a few months. He's working full-time for the Order, now, and I'm proud of him. He's hilarious and good to have around---he's really good for Frank to have around, he's missed his best friend so much.

Davy Gudgeon. He's so ridiculous sometimes but that's why I like him. He's got a really good heart, and again, I hang around far too many Gryffindor guys for my own good. What I like about Davy is that I don't have some crazy story to tell about our past or random snogging in the corridors (did I forget to mention that, under Caradoc?). We're actually friends. Just friends! And that's nice to have.

57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person. How does one describe Caradoc Dearborn?

I think he'd want me to say that he was absolutely amazing in all aspects of life, and that I am the luckiest woman on the planet to be graced by his presence as often as I am.

As you can see, he's a bit of an asshole. But---he's not going to be able to read this, right? Well; I'll admit it to you, he's one of the few people that can constantly get me to smile. Which is rather intriguing, as usually we're just bickering or he's being sarcastic and I'm being mean. But something's changed, and it's a good change, it's a nice change. Oh---well. He's supposed to be 'infiltrating my friends and I, because apparently Voldemort thinks I'm part of something big (which---I am, but), so the death eaters (did I mention he was a death eater?) think it's a cover, but--it's not.

Sometimes I have to remind myself, because if I was honest, I've fancied him since we were children, and it's still exciting to think he's actually begun to reciprocate the feeling. Juliet approves, which was a must, and I'm really---we just kind of fit. Like...I'm rambling, but, he tends to make me ramble---with Ben, we had to grow and learn about each other, and then with Brad, it was kind of awkward because we were really good friends. Remus was...a whirlwind, a good one, but...Caradoc knows me better than any guy ever could, and...I...think, and feel like, he's that person that's going to be in my life forever. No matter the title.

But don't tell him I said that, he'll tear the mickey out of me.

58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened. Yes, twice. Ben Fenwick was my first boyfriend and it was really lovely for a long, long time. We both had our own lives and it was nice to have someone to walk the corridors with and snog, it really was. It wasn't until the beginning of my sixth year that we hit problems. He began flirting with another girl in my year, and then he began getting into fights. His personality change hurt our relationship beyond repair, and we broke up a little after our first anniversary. Ben and I got together for maybe a month later on in the year, but his family was brutally murdered by death eaters and---he left the wizarding world.

I don't think I've ever told anyone this, but he told me to come with him, and--he proposed. Merlin, I'm sure I think about that every day, I think about how he pulled out this...it was silly, it was a ring he'd given to one of his sisters after finding it in a candy box, or something, and they'd given it to him after the funeral---he proposed with that, quietly, away from Frank and just so I could hear him, and...and I said no. I said I couldn't, that getting married wasn't the answer and that I couldn't leave the magical world.

So he left.

We're friends now, he's back. It's good that we're comfortable, I'm glad, he's one of the best friends I've ever had.

Then there was Remus, who started out as just an acquaintance through Ben, Frank, and the Order. I knew he was different from his friends, but I didn't really know him. Then one summer day we were in Flourish & Blotts and...there was a death eater attack. They took all of us hostage and Remus and I faked being the Longbottoms (it's..long and ridiculous but it saved a lot of people). Push come to shove, I started to fancy him (there was definitely some sort of hero-worship thing going on there at first) and kissed him at the Potter wedding--he ran away, I got mad, then he told me he was a werewolf.

Hm.

That took me a bit to get used to, but I did, and we had a lot, a lot of fun together. It was nice, he was just as big of a nerd as I was and at the same time I found him so...just...he was just good and funny and awesome and I felt like such a silly girl with him which was what I needed. We were good for a while, really good, and then Fenrir Greyback had to go and fuck it up. He scared the daylights out of us, and it turned out that neither of us were strong enough or willing to fight through it. So, we just broke up, and I'm okay, I think.

59. What do you look for in a potential lover? They seemed to come by accident, so I'm not sure. I think there definitely needs to be an initial attraction on my part, like I don't think any of the boys I've dated have been something that's developed from--well, Brad, but that was like 'surprise I fancy you!' after telling me this really sweet story, I, I mean, I think that's different than to say if...well, all right, I'm not sure.

They have to be smart and be able to talk to me. Because you can be brilliant beyond comparison, but if you can not form a coherent sentence then forget about it. And don't be too silly, it's just...I'm rarely silly and don't like being embarrassed (and I will get embarrassed for you) so it's just not a good situation. I need to be challenged. There you go. Give me a challenge.

60. How close are you to your family? Wow, this is insanely repetitive. No, I'm not close to any of them except for Frank.

61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not? No, no, but it seems like everyone else around my age has. I'm quite glad that I haven't. Maybe someday, though I can't really see myself settling down with anyone. Well. Ben, I think I could settle down with Ben if we worked through everything, but it's not going to happen, I don't think.

62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? Frank.

63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why? Frank, Dedalus and Elphias (they're my body guards), Caradoc (oh, he loves me, he just won't---well, no, he will, but he actually does, deep, deep, deep down). Why? I really don't know.

64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you? Well, Frank says I'm not allowed to get kidnapped anymore because he's absolutely insufferable. I'd hope my friends.

65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why? Ooh. Evan Rosier. For sure.

66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? Ahhhhhhhhhaha. Is this a serious question? I tend to argue. A lot.

67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? I may not be a prefect or quidditch captain, but people listen to me and I can easily take charge. See that confidence?

68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not? I think the biggest group I like being with is the Order. Anything bigger than that, no, no. They tried to get me to get on stage this year for Grease, you must be out of your mind.

69. Do you care what others think of you? I do, I act like I don't, but for the people I care about? Their opinion affects me a lot.
