jay currently living with cristal and her family after some problems with his own parents, he's been living there with them since the beginning of the summer of 2008, they're also really good friends and she's come to think of him just like a brother and of course they fight like siblings too

sheffield close friends, even in the short amount of time that he has been here they hooked up and she started to develop a small crush on him, but of course that has vanished but he still teases her about liking him
kyla met each other through bianca and really hit it off so they became instant friends, also on one night they were drunk and were dared to make out with each other which they happily did and now they just laugh about it
minn they were both tomboys when they were little and they used to do everything together back then, but they sort of grew distance from one another now


on a chilly october night cristal lee sommers, who was six pounds and four ounces, was born to lynn and paul sommers. the couple was ecstatic to bring the newborn into their home. she was born on october 30th, 1990 in the beautiful town of salt lake city, utah. unfortunately, cristal was a bit of a surprise for the couple. her mother had gotten pregnant at the age of twenty, but she was ultimately their pride and joy, even if she wasn't planned. not soon after the couple had found out that they were pregnant with their first child, was when her father had proposed. after lynn had the baby was when the two of them got married, neither of them cared what others thought, they didn't need a conventional wedding and who cared if they did things out of order.

her mother works as a nurse at the salt lake city hospital and she usually works long shifts (usually ten, sometimes eleven hour shifts), which causes cristal's father to step in and play mr. mom for a majority of the time. of course he didn't have to for the first couple of months that cristal had been welcomed into the world because her mother had been on maternity leave. cristal had gritted her teeth and ended up going to school with pigtails that were uneven and her clothes generally didn't match since she attempted to dress herself at six years old because her fathers taste sucked just as much as her own (but she thought her outfits rocked when she chose them herself). however her father works as a college professor at the salt lake city university. with her father being a teacher, he does push her harder to succeed in school then she would like him to. with her mother being absent for a majority of the day, cristal would get sad and lonely, she always wished for that mother/daughter bond, but every time she tried to reach out to her mother she would simply tell her she was to tired to deal with her and go to bed just to repeat it the next day.

believe it or not, cristal was actually a tomboy when she was littler. most of her friends were guys and she loved to wear boy-ish clothes (thanks to her dad trying to buy her stuff). but she simply didn't care when the other girls would pick on her for dressing funny. she never wore make-up and she never did her hair, except for running a brush through it a couple of times. cristal always believed that girls were to catty for her and she got along way better with guys, she was considered one of the dudes and they never looked at her in a girlfriend type of way before. that was until she actually developed a chest and they suddenly didn't think of her as simply one of the guys any longer. she tried all kinds of tips she got off websites in order to get them to look not as developed as they were for her age. she liked her flat chest before and she hated that all her guy friends seemed to be staring at them instead of her face. she even tried the duct tape move and would duct tape them in order to flatten them down a bit. but cristal finally got used to her newly discovered femininity and went with it. she started to become interested in dresses and other types of clothes to show off her assets. she even made her mom teach her how to apply make-up. it was a weird transition at first, but now she really can't believe the dirty girl that she used to be was actually her.

three years ago, the sommers family expanded as her mother had gotten pregnant once again with her second child, a little baby boy this time around and her father was absolutely thrilled about the idea of having a son to teach ball to and all those other sports. he was named lucas, or rather luke for short. cristal couldn't have been happier for their parents, it seemed like a new chapter for their already amazing life. she never believed in fairy tales, but compared to some families hers was pretty high up there, but she didn't like bragging about how decent her family got along with one another and her parents weren't divorced. but cristal would soon find out that the family she had once believed would survive even through the hardest times was about to be questioned.

one day cristal was with one of her closest friends when they were driving to the university where her father worked to give him something, they had noticed that he was kissing a young lady, who wasn't her mother. she felt as if her entire world was falling apart and crashing down right around her. cristal took what she had seen that day and ran with it, she contemplated for many days whether or not to tell her mom what she had saw. she just had a baby and she was preoccupied with caring for the newborn. she really didn't want to break their family, nor cause her mother any pain or heartache. of course, cristal decided to be honest with her mother since she hated secrets, especially ones that were bigger then she could manage by herself. she told her mother everything, about how she went to see her dad and how he was kissing someone a lot younger. her mother didn't look at all phased or hurt about the situation, mainly that was because she already knew about the affair, but chose to just ignore it and tell herself that she was occupied right now with lucas and wok, that she barely had time for her father. cristal was not happy about the idea of having her dad have a woman on the side, but she couldn't argue with her mother. her mother simply was trying to do what was best for the family and really didn't want to tear the family apart with a divorce.

cristal has many friends, but one friend has always meant more to her then all the rest for some reason. a year ago when cristal was sixteen years old she had lost her virginity to zack and he had lost his to her also. it was more out of curiosity then love, well, of course the two loved each other but they were never "in" love with each other. they both wanted to know what it felt like, they trusted each other and it was actually the most awkward action in the world to engage in, or so the two of them had thought about the first time it happened. to this day the two of them never talk about losing their virginity to each other, her mother still has no idea that it happened even if it happened right under her roof while she was in the next room. the two of them cause constant rumor to go around about them dating since they always act like a couple, holding hands and such, even if they don't kiss each other, it's still enough to keep the rumor mill going.

at the beginning of summer jay  was having trouble with his parents and ended up moving and out somehow she invited him to stay with her and her family. thankfully, her mother and father didn't mind it. that was until the noticed that he would always end up sleeping in her bed rather then the bedroom that they had set up for him. of course nothing happens between the two of them at night while they share a bed besides some minor cuddling, it didn't put her parents at ease about the situation. there is constant awkward silence when they're all in the same room together that cristal doesn't know how to break, but she's pretty happy with her living arrangements right now. whenever jason doesn't share a bed with her she notices how cold she actually gets during the night and she doesn't mind waking up to his drooling face each morning, she actually looks forward to it. of course with them sharing a bed and having it be known by pretty much everyone, there is speculation and rumors about what may or may not happen between the two of them, pretty much everyone thinks they're a couple and she finally gave up denying it since it never seemed to do any good.

cristal isn't very open with a lot of people and people may take this as her being a cold hearted bitch, which she can also be under some circumstances. she really only opens up to people in her crew which consists of: jay, bia, halsey, bryghton and reids. cristal never cared whether or not people loved or hated her, she kind of just shrugs her shoulders and doesn't go out of her way to make people like her, they either do or they don't and it's usually latter of the two. she knows she can be a pretty big bitch at times (especially when she's on her rag) and she's proud of it. she doesn't take shit from any body and she stands up for her friends when people start trashing them.

cristal is actually a pretty smart girl despite the dumb blonde disguise she liked to put on. she really doesn't want people to know about her intelligence. although, it's pretty obvious considering she takes mostly ap and honors courses and usually succeeds in them with eight an "a" or a "b". this probably resulted in her father always pushing her to do well in school considering he is a teacher himself and he wants to see her reach her full potential. being a cheerleader people always assume that she's not smart, but she actually likes doing well, it makes her feel good and that she's actually accomplishing something rather then wasting her time as she learns nothing. unlike most, cristal does not want to be stunk in the town of salt lake city, utah forever. she wants to go to an amazing university and get a great career. but that is all to embarrassing to share with anyone.

you could say that cristal is your standard party animal, even if she doesn't look it on the outside, but she does know how to drink like a sailor and throw back shots like a pro. she can be seen at a majority of the high school parties before they get busted by the cops, but she's usually the first one running home like a pansy before she can actually get in trouble with the police as well as her parents. cristal has tried everything at least once, but drugs just weren't her thing, however she does smoke a cigarette here and there but it's not a must have, at least not at this moment.

aside from being a big bitch to people she simply does not like or none of her friends like, she can actually be a pretty decent person, she's only had a few serious boyfriends and a ton of drunken and not so drunken flings. she pretty much has the worst luck with guys, but she doesn't really care whether or not she had a boy toy hanging on her arm. she's the type of girl that doesn't need a man in her life to make her happy. she actually prefers to be single so that she's able to do what she pleases with whomever she pleased and not get grilled for it after. of course, this does not make cristal a whore, since she's far from it. she actually doesn't fool around with guys beyond kissing until she's really into them and vice versa, but she still let's people speculate about that when she's usually seen with a new guy every day of the week.

the sommers household has a few more additions that come in the form of little furry animals. there is rocky, a french bulldog puppy, and marley, a yorkshire terrier who are ultimately spoiled and probably the pups with the best lifestyle in the neighborhood. cristal walks both of her dogs in the morning and she considers it her exercise for the day.
