Context is important, but the improper word use can just make things as muddy. "Baking" also implies making and creating for the ends of consumption. Perhaps it's not cannibalism, but it implies predation at the very least. Then again, I suppose we're all getting consumed by this god, the idea of this god thing, or whatever the hell's going on.

And as for cruelty, an act needn't be the worst thing for it to be considered cruel. When such nonsense is written one can barely say that it can ever be observed in context.
