Bryant Sawyer
7TH YEAR. HUFFLEPUFF. MUGGLEBORN.
Appearance
Tall (around 6'), dark hair, light skin, hazel eyes with occasional flecks of green or blue. He style of dress is casual on the weekends, business casual during the week when he has work. He has an athletic frame that comes from being a jock when he was still in high school and he still loves to meet friends for a quick, informal game of basketball or the like when he isn't working.
Personality
There are really two Bryant's - it all depends on who you are and what you mean to him. Those he is close to, loves and feels protective towards often see a very different side than the rest of the world.
To everyone else - the people he dislikes, the people he just doesn't know well, Bry is a rich, arrogant asshole. He's snobby. He's judgmental. He's got a stick of his ass the size of the Grand Canyon. He's not remotely afraid to tell these people they're not good enough for him and he doesn't even remotely give a shit what they think of him.
If you happen to be someone he genuinely cares about, though, Bryant can seem to have a completely different personality. He's protective, responsible, loving, confident. He'll do anything for the people he loves and he can actually be really sweet if you're someone he cares about.
That's not to say Bry doesn't have a temper, of course. He definitely has one of those, though some people seem to be better at setting it off than others. Bryant actually kind of enjoys fighting, though. He gets a secret little thrill from it. In terms of romance, he could never be truly happy with someone who was unwilling to piss him off from time to time.
Bryant is loyal to a fault when it comes to his family. He places their needs above his own, often sacrificing what he wants both to please his parents and to protect his siblings, to give them the choices he doesn't feel he has in life. Taking over for his (now deceased) father is the last thing Bryant wants, but his sense of duty to the family and his wish to keep his younger siblings from being pushed to such a thing are what drive him to acquiesce.
Bryant might come off as lazy, but, really, he just doesn't much see the point of his studies at Hogwarts. NEWTs will do him little good in his Muggle life after school, so he doesn't see the point of studying and is opting to focus on having fun while he can.
Bryant also feels a strong sense of loyalty to his friends, especially those he feels closest to. He's not exactly the type to jump into action, but he will definitely bend over backwards to help a friend in need. This loyalty can also often lend to taking a friends side without knowing all the facts. If he feels a friend is being wrong, he will support him or her, regardless of if they are actually right or wrong.
Something not a lot of people see is that Bry is actually quite sentimental. Family and loved ones come first with him and though he presents a casual and friendly exterior to most of the world, he's known to get a bit emotional or sentimental around those he cares about.
History
Bryant Dillon Sawyer is the oldest of the four children born to Tony and Marilla Sawyer. He had a relatively happy childhood, for the most part. His family was more than well-off enough to buy him and his siblings their every desire. He went to the best primary school, had plenty of friends from similar backgrounds and was able to get away with a lot of things children from lesser backgrounds wouldn't be able to.
His one complaint - one he never voiced aloud - was that his future was all planned out for him. He is going to work for his father once he finishes his schooling and there is no getting around it. Bryant isn't sure what he wanted to do with him life, but he certainly doesn't want to be forced into a life he hasn't chosen for himself. He's rebelled in his own way, slacking off and getting into trouble here or there. He isn't a delinquent or anything. He just figures he should have fun while he could and it wasn't like Daddy's money wasn't there anytime he needed it.
Prior to entering Hogwarts, Bry was pretty much a pompous, rich, spoiled snob. He lost that attitude during his first year at Hogwarts, though a bit of the arrogance is still there and comes through from time to time, particularly when he is dealing with people who knew him at his old school, but most of the time he is easygoing and friendly. He has his fair share of friends and acquaintances and gets on quite well with most of his classmates, though he does have an unfair negative bias towards Slytherins.

Connections
Savannah Sawyer - Best Friend/On-Off Girlfriend - Savannah is his one true love. They've been best friends since they were children and she can kick his ass like nobody else. There's never really been anyone else for Bryant and there never will be. They've broken up and gotten back together more times than anyone can count and they're currently in an off phase, but that doesn't mean Bryant isn't still madly in love with her.
Jeremy Pitt Enemy, secret half-brother - Bryant already despises Jeremy Pitt for many reasons, being a Slytherin, a prat and making out with his girl all being high on the list. What he doesn't know is that Jeremy happens to be his brother, conceived during a steamy fling between his mother and Richard Pitt less than a year before Bryant, himself, was born.
Will Farley - Close Friend - While they come from different backgrounds, Will and Bryant both have futures that have already been planned by their fathers and it's something the two Hufflepuffs have bonded over.
Emma Daly - Friend/Distraction - Bryant isn't seriously into Emma, certainly not the way he is Savannah, but he doesn't hate it when the girl calls him her "favorite flavor of Hufflepuff" and flirting with her does tend to take his mind off of the broken heart he's been nursing since his latest breakup with a certain redhead.
