Character Name: Keiji Oyama, aka Lord Deathstrike
Character LJ (if applicable): clawed-progeny
Physical description (face, build, weight): 6'1, tall, but lean. Weighs more than he appears due to the unique nature of his bones.
Age: 27 according to his superiors.
Birthday: Doesn't know, he's never celebrated it.
PB: (If using one.) Nicholas Tse
Abilities: As a mid-ranking member of the Hand, Keiji is highly skilled in a variety of martial arts practiced by the group. He was also trained by his mother in her kenjutsu style in his youth. He is familiar with many of the mystical spells and incantations known to the Hand.
Unlike his mother he was born a mutant. His bones are made of a unique, natural metal (similar to Colossus' metal form). He can alter the density of this metal, making himself either capable of triple-jointed feats or increases their density to the point of adamantium. He can also utilize this ability to grow claws similar to his mother's, though the process is painful, he mostly ignores it now.
Weaknesses and flaws: Unlike his mother, he has no form of healing factor and thus would be at a disadvantage against those who do. He often portrays a cold exterior, but has a temper that when coaxed out can often cause him to fight sloppily.
Character location/Home: Tokyo, Japan
Alignment (villain, hero etc): Villain, but sense of ethics may change his position.
Relatives (living/dead?): Yuriko Oyama, Lady Deathstrike (mother) dead. Unknown Hand lord (father)
Backstory: Keiji Oyama was the result of a bargain sealed beteen Lady Deathstrike and a powerful lord of the ninja-cult, the Hand. In exchange for their aid in destroying Wolverine, Deathstrike agreed to sire a son with one of their leaders to train as an assassin. While Yuriko and the Hand's combined efforts failed, she sucessfully bore a son, Keiji. The boy was trained by both Hand masters and his mother in the fighting arts. However, one day he learned that his mother had died in battle with Wolverine, and thus Keiji decided to honor his mother be both honoring her pact with the Hand as well as one day destroying Wolverine and his legacy. Since that day he has become one of the youngest and most powerful figures not of "lord" status in the Hand.
How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Keiji will be making plays to establish himself as a new and and significant power within the Hand. As an upfront boss, he has no real social identity, he'll likely be enountered by heroes opposing Hand activities. He also seeks to kill Wolverine, or any of his offspring. He wrongly assumes that any of Logan's children would be honorbound to oppose him as he feels honorbound to his mother. He'll likely come on the scene, tracking down people close to Wolverine and testing their prowess.
What are you planning to do with this character? Expand his powerbase in the Hand. Rise as far as he can to utilize it as a tool of revenge. Will also seek out Wolverine's "kids" for the purpose of either death or simple evaluation, depending on how threatening he finds them to his goals.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: Keiji's at his heart a conflicted young man. On one he honors his mother and unknown father by serving the Hand and crusading against Wolverine. Another part of him resents the life that was chosen for him before he was born. His code of honor is sometimes at odds with his duties and obligations. So far he's managed to balance them, but eventually he'll have to choose what kind of life he really wants. His arranged path, or his own.
Sample Post:
His name was Keiji Oyama, and he was the son of the Lady Deathstrike. He was also the son of an unknown lord within the Hand. His birth was a living agreement to serve the Hsnd. Then his mother died and he had a new obligation, to continue her mission to avenge their family's honor. Neither was his choice, but of obligation and duty to those who gave him life. Thus he must walk the path laid before, but it did not mean he had to like it. He glanced at his hands as he molded and shaped the bones to his will. The metallic claws pushed out of his fingers. The pain had once bothered him greatly, now he barely felt it. He would have to stain these claws red soon. After all, it was expected of him.
