Alternate Future: Working Hard..or Hardly Working
"What!? No I..no..you tell Lord Yukimura that I said..he said what!? Alright! Set up a meeting, I'll tell him myself! What? No!" Keiji was getting fed up. "You tell Lord Yukimura that if I find out he has anything to do with this slave trade and I will personally cut out his heart! Do you hear me!? Good." Keiji angrily hangs up the phone and plops his head down on his desk in annoyance.

He feels her fingers trace the scars of his own, a consequence of his claws. Quite frankly, the scars were hideous. Before Amiko, he never really cared about it. Now that she was in his life, he was a lot more self-conscious as he instintively closed his hands into fist, hiding his fingers from view. However, he did not want her to think he was withdrawing from her. "Just what?"

Reluctantly he allows her to pull his fingers back into view. As a result of his claw manipulation not were the tips covered in scars, but they were also in a constant state of pain. He had long since trained himself to ignore the bulk of it, they still stung. "Amiko..you shouldn't have to look at those." He wouldn't outright deny her, but he wasn't exactly comfortable either. "You really believe that?"

Keiji closes his eyes for a moment..and finally nods. "Nor would I ask you to do so." Keiji chuckles a bit. "I wouldn't go far as to say brilliant. Inspired perhaps, but not brilliant." He turns back to her. "I think a part of me has always believed you, even before you showed me proof that your father was not responsible. But as you said, when you're taught to believe something your whole life..I didn't want to believe that my life was meaningless."

"Are you serious?" He asked, both surprised and a little excited. "You wish me..to meet your guardian? I..I am honored, Amiko." He bows his head a bit, mostly to hide the glimpse of a tear that had formed. He was touched she'd want him to meet someone so important to her. "I wish..I wish I could return the favor. Perhaps I can introduce you to Shinsuke someday. He is the closest thing I have had to a parent."
